USB Absinthe Spoon

My girl YumSugar turned me on to this USB Absinthe Spoon and I have to say, it might be one of the wackiest USB gadgets I've ever seen. For those of you that aren't foodie or history nerds, absinthe is a strongly alcoholic aperitif made from alcohol and distilled herbs or herbal extracts, chief grand wormwood and green anise. Traditionally, absinthe is poured into a glass over which a specially designed slotted spoon is placed and a cube deposited in the bowl of the spoon. Ice-cold water is poured or dripped over the sugar until the drink is diluted. What better than a USB version of this elite delicacy?

Apparently, the creators of the spoon have been working on the prototype for months and now finally, it's ready to be shared with the world. Have you ever had absinthe (or any hard alcohol) with grainy sugar in it? I have. And that’s why I need a USB absinthe spoon.. so that this never happens again.
How else could I wean my PC off the methadone?
I deserve an Absinthe Spoon so that I can have daily visits from the Green Fairy!
It seems like the perfect accessory for late-night readings of e-text Hemingway and Poe, thus avoiding unnecessary trips to the wet bar.

Absinthe originated in Switzerland as an elixir, however it eventually gained a reputation as dangerously addictive and even a psychoactive drug when the chemical thujone was blamed for most of its deleterious effects. It was later banned and today it is illegal to purchase in the US, but not illegal to drink.

USB 'Hot Cushion': Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

I've always been a bit weary of USB heated items such as the furry USB heated cape and the USB Absinthe Spoon so it shouldn't come as any shock that the USB Hot Cushion gets me a little heated. Honestly, I just can't fathom sitting on anything that's being heated by my computer. Am I right, or do you actually like the idea of sitting on a cushion that's warmed by your computer?
