And the obsession with Spring continues! The Bay Area's Toss Designs has just come out with messenger style laptop bags in light, bright, and unabashedly fun designs. And I like that they're messenger-style, because my poor put-upon shoulders are beginning to revolt (and stoop) against my heavy-bag habits.

I would love to have a dedicated computer to use in the kitchen. Usually if I'm testing a new recipe from one of my favorite food blogs or websites I sit my laptop on the counter and toss a towel over the keyboard to keep it safe from spills or other kitchen mishaps. A French company decided to capitalize on the kitchen computer idea and just introduced the Qooq (warning: the site is in French), a new type of computer specifically designed to use in the kitchen.

JoJo Designs' Carrie Laptop Bag is the kind of summery laptop bag I need; in lightweight canvas, it would be light enough to toss my laptop into, along with sunny day essentials like my sunglasses, water, etc.
Its lightness belies its durability — just check out the cross-section photo of the bag loaded up with computer, books, and everything; of course, in the event that you do overload, they include a handy-dandy optional shoulder-strap.

Look out MacBook Air, there's a new lady in town and rumor has it, she weighs less than you — ouch! According to USA Today, computer manufacturer Lenovo will be announcing a new teeny laptop tailored for business travelers. Weighing in at only 2.9 pounds is the ThinkPad X300, which isn't as slender as the Air, but boasts a built-in optical drive, multiple USB ports, a removable battery and integrated WWAN.

There was a semi-dearth of crazy and creative iPod docks at this year's Macworld event, which, whatever their functionality, are usually great eye candy. Good thing I spotted this adorable iPod dock by Vestalife that is named for exactly what it resembles — a ladybug! Its two wings collapse when it's not in use for easy portability, and they expand when you're ready to rock.
