Astrid App For Android Phones Keeps You Organized

Create a fun, personalized to-do list with Astrid, an Android app that manages deadlines and priorities. The free app, which creators tote as a "task recording dashboard," not a to-do list, organizes tasks by priority, date, and time. To create a reminder, enter the task - anything from "walk the dog" to "pick up boyfriend from airport," a date and time, and tags like "important," "not important," "bills," or "work." There's even a field to enter how long the task will take to help you schedule your time most productively.

You can set fixed reminders ("Pay credit card bill!") or just add one-time events. You can also turn on reminders so the app pings you either before a task is scheduled, at the time it's scheduled, or as the "absolute deadline" (another field you can fill in) has passed. The reminders are cute and cheeky, too: "When you have a minute: Clean out your inbox," for example. Other useful features are the ability to hide tasks until a certain day and a completion meter that gives a visual representation of how much progress you've made on task-completion.

Easily Move Items to Different Lists With Google Tasks

Have you been using Google tasks to manage your "to do" lists? You can turn Tasks on in the Labs section of your Gmail settings. Once it's enabled, you will find Tasks under your contacts and you can start creating your virtual lists!

Well Google has just announced a new helpful feature in Tasks that is sure to make all of our lives easier. Say you are quickly jotting down notes in your Tasks list throughout the day, but you want to go back later and organize each item in its appropriate list?

Well now you can easily move them to a list by clicking on the arrow to the right of the task. And if you want to create a new list like shopping or travel, etc., just click on the paper icon at the bottom right of the Tasks screen and click on "new list." I think I can officially kiss my text edit "to do" lists goodbye.

Website of the Day: Do It Do It Done

I'm a fan of simple, straightforward websites, and right now Do It Do It Done is doing it for me. A very simple to-do list website, you just start adding tasks to your list (hang on to the url to return to it), and then click them to cross off.

It's kinda sad that this is a bonus now, but there's no required registration to use it. That means, no login to get into what you need. Just go to the page, and start writing in what you need to TCB (that's Taking Care of Business).

Click the pink "Share" menu on the top left side of the page.

Website of the Day: Now Do This

Done and done is one of my favorite - and overused - lines. So when I came across Now Do This, a to-do list application website, I couldn't help but give it a whirl. So maybe you can't see your entire to-do list like with Remember the Milk or sticky notes on your iGoogle page, but it is plain and simple. Just go to the website, enter your tasks and to-do items in order of priority, hit save, and it'll show you the first one on your list. Click done when a task is completed and it'll move on to the next one, just like that. Done and done.

Men in Black 3: A Return to (Alien Life) Form

I saw the original Men in Black movie so long ago that my memories of the film might as well have been zapped with a neuralyzer (that's the memory-erasing device the guys use in the movie, for those of you who are also having trouble recalling the original). What I did retain is that the film was funny, fresh, and silly and that it didn't hold up very well for the 2002 sequel. With that in mind, I had low expectations for Men in Black 3, but the newest installment is just as much fun as the original, and it actually benefits from the 15-year time lapse.

The script for the film is one of its biggest assets and truly sets Men in Black 3 apart from its predecessors. The aliens are still alive and ickier than ever now that they're in 3D, but the story is more focused on the friendship between J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) and how it has evolved over the years. We learn early on that K has been keeping a secret from J all these years, and the mystery drives a wedge between the partners. Meanwhile, a treacherous alien named Boris the Animal (played to hilarious perfection by Flight of the Conchords's Jemaine Clement) breaks out of maximum-security prison and goes back in time to get revenge on K, who arrested him back in the '60s. The day that K had Boris locked up is the key to K's secret, so J heads on a mission back in time to save K and learn the truth.

To see why Men in Black 3 is so much fun, just

Will Smith hasn't been in a movie since 2008's Seven Pounds, and I didn't realize I missed him until I found myself giggling all the way through Men in Black 3. His shtick is still the same (he's one-liners still consistent of dialogue like "Where did you come from? Planet damn?"), but you can't help but love Agent J as he bumbles through the '60s, desperately trying to sell his story to people who don't recognize him - or believe him. You can tell that Smith feels completely comfortable in the role, and in the signature suit, which still looks perfect on him, as he hasn't aged a day.

Tommy Lee Jones is ever the reliable curmudgeon, but the film mines extra laughs when J travels to the '60s and meets a much younger version of his partner, played by Josh Brolin. Brolin looks enough like Jones to pass for him, but it's really his studied delivery and mannerisms that sell the performance. We also get some insight into how K has evolved over the years (he's always had a penchant for cowboy music, but he also used to be a bit of a dreamer), giving the film an extra layer to the enjoyable banter between J and K.

I'm not usually one to gush about 3D, but the special effects really come to life in Men in Black 3 in a way they never did in the first two movies. Not only do the aliens look creepier than ever, but the cartoonish feel of the film is taken to the next level with the 3D aspect, especially with the time-travel thrill-ride element. Much like with the 3D movies from my youth, I found myself shrinking in my seat just to avoid being too close to the alien goo, blood, breath, and beyond. Combined with the welcome return of Will Smith, you've got yourself a fun, mindless blockbuster.

Based on the eight films, the game gives diehard fans a chance to experience the movies' most memorable moments for themselves, whether as a character or as their own avatar. Check out the top four reasons we're excited to play:

Pretending we're wizards: Thanks to hands-free and voice-recognition technology, users can cast spells using physical maneuvers or by calling out spell names. We're already practicing our "Expelliarmus!" technique.
Flying (sort of): It's a dream come (virtually) true. Gamers will have the opportunity to fly on a broomstick for their very own Quidditch match.

Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey Reconnect in Cannes

Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey were all smiles posing side-by-side today at their Cannes photocall for Mud. During a press conference earlier today, Reese talked about her supporting role in Mud, saying, "I grew up with my brother in a creek, riding dirt bikes, dirt fishing, everything you see the boys in the movie doing. When I read Jeff's script, it felt like home. It's a beautiful story about the place I'm from." Reese and Matthew are expected at tonight's red carpet premiere, but until then you can catch up on all the hot photos you may have missed from Cannes!
