Before Summer is completely over — and I have to embrace Fall — I thought it'd be fun to give away a few of my favorite beach-friendly gadgets to one of our readers! There's a ton of great stuff in this giveaway including a waterproof camera, a solar bag, a portable speaker, waterproof gadget cases, a speaker pillow, and a waterproof speaker case for your iPod — and it could all be yours! And even if you don't think you'll be making it back to the beach this year, these products are also perfect for trips and taking poolside.

When I think of Polaroid, I think of Polaroid cameras, which at this point have a vintage geek following, but the company is doing its darndest to promote their other products and has jumped on the celebrity beach house bandwagon.
The company has created a lavish $30 million dollar beachfront estate where celebrities and VIPs can enjoy tech toys, private dinner parties, exclusive events, BBQs, clambakes, and beachside activities.
Like the LG Beachhouse, the Polaroid Beach house is located on "the most exclusive stretch of beach in Malibu," and is completely decked out with with the company's TVs and gadgets.

Earlier this month, MTV jumped on the geeky virtual reality bandwagon by introducing Virtual Hills and Laguna Beach where users can interact in the same environment as the Laguna Beach characters. You can choose your own wardrobe, meet others and shop for the hottest trends. A little FYI - MTV plans to show episodes in Virtual Laguna Beach a day before they are shown on TV so you can get your Laguna fix before everyone else.

When I head out on vacation (when I get the chance, anyway), I always choose a hotel that offers the most amenities to suit my techie tastes . . .

We all know that Lauren Conrad, better yet known as LC on Laguna Beach and the Hills, is a cell phone junkie- c'mon, when isn't she glued to her phone?! In Laguna it was the LG clam cell and now in the Hills she has upgraded to the BlackBerry 8700. Just like her Kabbalah bracelet, her BlackBerry has become a staple accessory in her wardrobe!

Going on a beach vacation? Lucky. If you're like me, you tote your cell phone and other gadgets to the beach or pool with you.

I'm pretty low maintenance when I'm lucky enough to hit the beach or the pool in the summertime, requiring only some sunscreen, chapstick, and a book — but I cannot leave my iPhone behind (um, I do realize that this may make me high maintenance, but I'm ignoring that).
I need my lifeline to the outside world as well as my iPod, plus I know it's not that weird — celebrities are always photographed using their cell phones while poolside. Just yesterday Ashley Tisdale was caught in a skimpy bikini, checking a BlackBerry (um, I do realize that rationalizing that something is normal because a celebrity does it is not a good argument, but I'm ignoring that).

Hola, Summer! We may be a couple months away, but I'm all about putting my arsenal together — you know, new bathing suit, sunglasses, and clearly, this bag.
The MP3 Player Cooler Bag ($79) from Pottery Barn is not the first iPod-playing tote anyone has seen — and certainly not the first from Pottery Barn (last Summer gave us this bag).
