Target Rolls Out the Mother's Day Gadget Deals

If my must-have list for May didn't rock your world, you may just want to head to your nearest Target on Sunday because they are kicking off a big sale on some sweet gadgets.

You'll find the new lime-green DS Lite Bundle for $139, the Kodak Zi6 Camcorder on sale for $129 (regularly $159), the TomTom One 140 GPS for only $146, and more. And for some more incentive, if you purchase an iPod, the Kodak camcorder, or the GPS device, you'll receive a Soap and Glory bath set (which is valued at $25). Thankfully, I've got one of those moms that would be perfectly happy with just the soap, so maybe I could get her the video recorder as an early Christmas present and use the soap as her Mother's Day gift?!

Target Rolls Out Pre-Order Program, Gives You Cash Back

I've reserved plenty of games through Gamestop, my go-to place when I really want to make sure I get a copy of a game, but now that Target has announced their own game pre-order program, my obsession with them may grow to obscene levels.

Announced yesterday, Target's game reservation program starts with you showing up to reserve titles like Punch Out! and Ghostbusters and ends with you getting a $5 gift card when you come back to pick up your title within seven days of its release date. But there's another benefit to pre-ordering your games from Target. To find out what it is, read more.

Unlike Gamestop, where you have to put down a deposit on your pre-ordered game (sometimes totaling the entire amount of the title), at Target you'll only have to pay a buck to reserve, and will in turn get a game specific reservation card to turn in on release day. This is convenient, since sometimes I want to make sure I get a game, but don't always have the cash saved to purchase so far in advance.

Higher Priced and Hotter or Cheaper and Chicer?

The $25 Dave laptop table from Ikea still holds a special place in my heart - as well as a special place in both my bedroom and living room (tee-hee). But look out Mr. Dave, there's a sexier laptop stand in town and he's popping up at Target stores across the country. Unlike the Dave laptop table, the Ergonomic laptop desk from Target is made of metal in a laminate walnut finish, which you'll pay for with the table costing $50. The wood version would definitely look a lot nicer in my living room, but for now, I just can't justify the upgrade.

Some of us have been waiting for this moment for quite some time. Black Friday had some decent HDTV Deals, but amidst this economic crisis, the prices on high-definition TVs haven't dropped as previously expected. Well CrunchGear just spotted some sweet HDTV sales at Target, which kick off this Sunday. Fair enough, who really wants an HDTV that's only 19-inches, but let's be honest, the Philips 42-inch 1080p LCD HDTV for only $698 is speaking my language.
