I've already been labeled the USB accessory hoarder, so you won't be surprised I was very happy to get my hands on one of these ultraportable external USB hubs. Dr. Bott's T3 Hub USB 2.0 plugs directly into your laptop, or desktop, or any USB-enabled map.

This morning at Nintendo's press conference at E3, Gizmodo followed all of the announcements on their liveblog, and I couldn't help but get excited about three in particular.
The first one is the new multiplayer Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, appropriately titled New Super Mario Bros.

Gearing up to hit store shelves next Tuesday, the Samsung Jack from AT&T is a nice cross between the BlackJack and BlackJack II except it offers Windows Mobile 6.1, WiFi and a 3.2-megapixel camera. And just like the BlackJack II (and the iPhone), it will work on AT&T's 3G network, so you're guaranteed speedy Internet browsing, emailing, and SMS-ing.
The phone also features video-capture capabilities, GPS-based applications, and all the goodies you'd find in Windows Mobile like the ability to manage Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents from your phone.

The mysterious BlackBerry 8xxx has officially been released and given a proper name — the BlackBerry Bold. This BlackBerry 9000 device is said to be available this Summer on AT&T 3G with T-Mobile 3G to follow. With built-in GPS capabilities, BlackBerry Maps, interchangeable color back plates (yay!), five hours of talk time, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and powerful speakers, the "Bold" is certainly living up to its name!

Honestly, I wasn't sure if I was getting punk'd again after all the internet April Fool's shenanigans this week, but after a bit of research, I think this is probably just a concept project. In a story posted on the UK's Telegraph this week, a Taiwanese electronics specialist has developed a mind reading headset to control your iPod. Since walking and looking down at your iPod is just too distracting, the iMind allows you to choose what song, or what type of song you want played, just by thinking of it.

Last night I put on my party dress and attended the star-studded BlackJack II by Samsung launch party in LA. Held at the hot new Mexican restaurant Beso (which officially opens mid-December) and hosted by self-confessed gadget girl Eva Longoria, my partner in crime Molly and I rocked out to a special performance by Mark Ronson and the Version Players and, best of all, got to check out the BlackJack II.
The AT&T exclusive Samsung BlackJack is a lot sleeker then I envisioned, and I was thoroughly impressed with the large 2.2-inch color display screen.

The iPod was recently voted the greatest gadget of all time at the 2007 T3 Gadget Awards prompting me to wonder: Is it really that great? Sure we've started integrating them into our clothes and even powering them via our bikinis, but is the device really the most impressive and innovative gadget of all time? Doesn't the widespread use of the personal computer warrant more of a fuss?
