It figures that Stormtroopers would be break dancin' and chillaxin' with all the hell they raise during the day. They need a break! Or so Star Wars fan Cindi Geeze thinks. Also a photographer (as you'll notice that her images are breathtaking as well as whimsical), Geeze was spotlighted by Underwire and my only complaint, from one Star Wars fan to another, is that I need to see more! Hayden Attends Big Apple Comic Book, Art, Toy, and Sci-Fi Expo

This past weekend Heroes star Hayden Panettiere stepped out in true geeky fashion for the 2007 National Big Apple Comic Book, Art, Toy, and Sci-Fi Expo convention. This three day annual event, now in its eleventh year, hosts more than three hundred dealers and exhibitors, and showcases comics, toys, action figures, original art, videos, autographs, non-sports cards, TV and movie memorabilia-making it the ultimate place to buy, sell or trade your collectibles!

Kristen Bell from Veronica Mars was also in attendance to join Hayden in greeting fans and taking pictures. Too bad Kristen was no where in sight for the photo-op with Star Wars characters White Stormtrooper and Blackhole Stormtrooper!

"With This Click I Thee Wed": Online Wedding

I can't deny I'm pretty much obsessed with geek love. First there was iDating, a dating effort for people with iPhones, next there was a man who proposed marriage via a widget, and now, there's the first couple to have been married in the virtual world and the real world. That's right folks, players of the online game EverQuest II shared their love for gaming and each other at a live and in-game wedding ceremony hosted by Sony Online Entertainment. I heard about the ceremony, which took place at this month's Fan Faire held in Las Vegas, a while back, but didn't see the actual footage until this week. I'm speechless. Utterly speechless. Thank goodness I'm not the only person who thinks this is just too geeky!

During the ceremony, the couple exchanged vows in front of an audience of more than 1,600 fellow gamers (check out the Darth Vadar and Stormtroopers bridal party!), then 46 year-old Kelly Kane Davalos and 31 year-old Nathan Davalos sealed the deal through their EverQuest II avatars at computers perched on the altar. OMG. OMG.
