Steve Jobs was honored with the Trustees Award at last night's 2012 Grammys for his contributions to the music industry and his role in creating the iPod and iTunes, which helped shape the music industry as we know it today. Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet software and services accepted the award on behalf of Steve last night. In case you missed it, check out his speech below.

Virgin America announced earlier today that it would be naming one of its planes after Steve Jobs as a way to pay tribute to Apple's legendary CEO. The plane won't bear Steves name itself, but one of his most famous quotes: "Stay hungry, stay foolish."

Steve Job's Stanford commencement address, from which the quote was derived, has over 13 million views on YouTube and is filled with life lessons and notable quotes to remember. Here, eight you should keep in your memory banks.

Is a Steve Jobs Action Figure Too Much?

While it's been three months since Apple CEO and technology innovator Steve Jobs passed away, two toy manufacturers are already eager to memorialize the man as a toy figurine. The iCEO mini Steve Jobs action figure ($100) from toy companies in icons and Dragon in Dream is scheduled for retail sale at the end of February.

The 12 inch figure is already garnering attention for the convincing look-alike depiction of the man who told us to "Stay hungry, stay foolish." From the black turtleneck to the faded jeans, round glasses and gray beard ever, the action figure doesn't miss a single iconic detail, but is it too much? The Jobs family blocked a toy likeness of Steve from production in 2010, so it's likely this figurine will meet the same response. What's your take on the toy unveiling?

For hundreds of Apple customers, their email to former CEO Steve Jobs regarding customer service or accolades and critiques were actually answered by the man himself. As strange as it may seem for the leader of the country's biggest company to take the time to respond to missive from the public, which he did as documented now in a self-published Kindle book titled Letters to Steve: Inside the Email Inbox of Apple's Steve Jobs ($3) by CNN technology writer Mark Milian.

Anyone that read the Walter Isaacson biography knows that Steve had a firm grasp on even the smaller details of running Apple, so perhaps responding to a few of the many fan (or critic) emails he received should come as no surprise. The book details many circumstances where Steve responded curtly to emails where customers had complained about their wireless carrier's data plans, but it also recounts tales of when the CEO spoke up for the customer. One story details Steve actually calling a customer who had written him about the long wait time to have a computer fixed. Steve Jobs phoned his home apologizing for the delay and to voice appreciation for a customer who supported Apple "in the good times and bad."

True, the book isn't available on iPad, but we'll definitely pick up the Kindle book for a peek at the Apple legend from a customer's perspective.

6 Things We Learned About Steve Jobs From Walter Isaacson's 60 Minutes Interview

Walter Isaacson's 60 Minutes interview aired on CBS last night, and while the interview was relatively short compared to the years of interview material he's amassed over the seven years he's been meeting with the Apple co-founder, it did reveal some interesting tidbits about Steve Jobs. Check out a few below, but stay tuned for more as we tear through our copy of the biography.

He invented something called "The Blue Box" that replicated the tones that phone companies use, and allow users to make free long distance phone calls.
When Steve Jobs was younger, he never wore shoes, never bathed, and had long hair. He was put on the night shift at Atari because he smelled so bad that people didn't want to work with him.
He was 25 when Apple was worth about 50 million dollars.
Steve Jobs lived in a "normal house on a normal street." There are no security gates or long driveways at his house because he said, "I did not want to live that nutso lavish lifestyle that other people live when they get rich."
When he and Steve Wozniak started Apple, he didn't know how to write code or build a computer. That was Woz's job.
According to Walter Isaacson, Steve was "not warm and fuzzy," and really wanted to "be with people who demand perfection."

Remembering Steve: Over One Million Fans' Tributes

While many Apple stores were closed earlier today for a private memorial service for employees to honor the life of company founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, Apple updated its website to showcase the messages Apple owners, fans, and the public at large submitted in the wake of the tech innovator's death.

The Remembering Steve page on the Apple website continuously updates letters of remembrance to the technology legend. Over one million people across the world in multiple languages wrote to the Remembering Steve email address to share personal memories of how Steve affected their lives. The notes highlight how lives were changed with the purchase of a first Apple product and gratitude for the creativity and innovation Steve brought to the world.
