Sony Ericsson has finally released photographs of the rumored new model of the Walkman(R) phone and I must admit, I'm very impressed. The W880 Walkman(R) phone combines the good looks of the hottest thin phones of the day (think Blackberry Pearl and RAZOR) with updated music-centered features of the old-school Walkman.
The W880 will launch within the first half of 2007 when more details will be provided.

Sony has spiced up their latest E-Series mp3 players with hip new interchangeable jackets. Choose from a basic black or white models and then personalize it with over twenty different "Style-Up" panels. What's great about these NW-E-series walkman sticks which I spotted on Gizmodo, is the fact that they come with a USB plug that you can directly connect to your laptop or computer for uploading songs.

As cute and as tiny as cord organizers are becoming, dangling wires can still be a nuisance. If you want a no-fuss workout, free from cords or anything else that could get in your way, Sony's W Series Walkman MP3 Player is a tiny music device that offers 2 GB of storage and is directly connected to Sony headphones.
Perfect for joggers or gym rats, this hands-free player even comes with a Zappin feature that will scan through your music and play a portion of the song so you can play it or skip it.

This Friday's USA Today featured a look at the fact that Tech giants target older buyers — and their cash. I understand the move from a market perspective, but I'm not sure people in their 50s and 60s (most notably my parents and their friends) will ever be as in tune or interested in technology as younger generations. Am I being ageist?

It seems to be a universal truth that dads love geeky gifts - from robots, camcorders, speaker systems to plasma screens - there are very few gadgets that any dad I know would turn down. With Father's Day on the horizon, this is the week to start thinking about what you are getting your dad or father figure. He's probably the person who bought you your first Walkman or Discman afterall.
