Sex and the City on Blu-ray, and when it came yesterday, I was greeted with a pleasant geeky surprise: A digital copy was included!
Digital copies have been included on a few DVDs and Blu-ray discs since the beginning of the year, but this is the first time I've gotten one — and with a movie that truly makes it worth it!
The disc is separate from the Blu-ray disc itself and when inserted, opens iTunes, where you enter the unique code that comes with your disc.

Yes! Sex and the City was my first digital copy and I love it. I do wish the digital copy was of the extended movie though, that would be nice. I got the regular dvd format from amazon, and it came on Monday. I had to wait till Tuesday till it would let me get the itunes copy, I thought that was interesting.
1Also the packaging on the dvd is different from the blu-ray, I'm jealous.
I meant to buy this just for the digital copy. Will do after work.
We bought The Forbidden Kingdom and it has a digital copy but I haven't done anythig with it.
2I haven't gotten any digital copies yet, but I'm buying SATC this weekend so I'll have my first. I do have some software that rips DVD's to mv4 files for my iPod.

5nope - too easy to must make my own digital copies to worry about one being provided... plus, I'm ticked off at the way studios have often started charging extra for special features (regular DVD) by hyping the stupid "digital copy."
6The latest season of One Tree Hill came with digital copies of all the episodes. I do think it's a nice touch, granted one that I haven't bothered to use.
Now if only they moved to offering a copy of the DVD when it comes out when you purchase the episodes online.

8Please tell me that you don't HAVE to use iTunes to play it. What if I want to put it on a Zune? A Sansa?
9Yep! I bought Sex and the City: The Movie on DVD and I also got a digital copy!
I put it on my Macbook Pro and I'm all set!
10The digital copy is on the non hd dvd as well, not just the blue ray version.
11i haven't seen digital copies come with my purchases yet but i like that. i'm really sad though - i pre-ordered SATC as well and when i got my shipping notification it was already the 23rd so i wasn't going to get it until after the release day - and had i known that - i wouldn't have pre-ordered...i could have gone to the store to get it just as fast if not faster.
12for my best friends birthday in june, the girls and i got her the sex and the city season dvds. this come november, 3 of us are celebrating our birthdays, so in turn, she's getting us all the movie. its exciting because when we have girl time at the house we just pop in a disc and have our own bonding time.
13I got one with Juno and I put it on my Nano. Love it- I wish it came with all movies.
