I was watching an old episode of Seinfeld the other day (it was "The Pool Guy" episode), and I couldn't help but LOL when George went off on Jerry for introducing Elaine to his girlfriend Susan. If you haven't seen the episode, George gets mad because he doesn't want his "worlds colliding". .

The appeal of changing your desktop wallpaper is obvious — it's free, it's easy, and you get a mental refresher every time you look at your computer screen, which is something most of us have to do all day. Sometimes we stick to ones we like for a long time, and sometimes you're in the mood to switch it up, as I am now. Usually I go for a fun design, but today?

Ah, George Costanza. He was a different breed. Behold, the video below: George screens his messages while watching TV, and grooves to a sweet little ditty he recorded himself for when he was out — listen to it and try not to get his "Believe It or Not" stuck in your head.

Though the second Microsoft ad featuring Jerry Seinfeld is a lot funnier than the first, I can't help but feel that it's still lacking . . .

It was just announced today that funnyman Jerry Seinfeld was hired by Microsoft to be one of its key celebrity pitchmen in its new $300 million ad campaign. In an attempt to take on the longstanding Mac vs. PC ads with rumored slogans like "Windows, Not Walls," Jerry will appear in ads alongside the new retiree Bill Gates.

Are Apple's long-clever Get a Mac ads no longer clever? They've tried to respond to Microsoft's Laptop Hunters ads via their Hodgman-and-Long two-man show, but the results just feel a little stale. The first attempt was kind of funny, but this one, starring Seinfeld's Patrick Warburton as a slimy PC salesman, just feels stale.

With the news of the Jerry Seinfeld/Microsoft commercials being put aside for now (only 14 percent of you liked their ads more than Apple's "Get a Mac" ads), Microsoft has revealed that their next campaign will be a more direct hit at Apple (and thankfully, more direct in general).
Known as the "I'm a PC" ads, Microsoft will portray various non-dorky Microsoft users attesting to what they do and what they're like — ostensibly not nerds like John Hodgman's portrayal. In addition, they have a more direct anti-Apple attack with a John Hodgman clone who satirically declares he is a PC and has "been made into a stereotype."
