You finally get whisked away to that tropical island you've been fantasizing about behind your cubicle, but once you get there, you're forced to ask strangers to take some romantic shots of you and your beau. Other options include setting up a mini tripod, do the "hold out the arm and hope for the best shot," find a steady surface and 10-9-8 run to get that perfect picture, or you can get a random to play paparazzi.
When the adorable Seal and Heidi Klum attended the Emmys on Sunday, Seal got creative by capturing the photo himself on his iPhone as the two shared a kiss.

Even though octomom Nadya Suleman was caught not abiding by California's hands free cell phone law — where you must use a hands-free device to talk on your cell phone while driving — there are plenty of Hollywood folk who do rock the Bluetooth earpieces and headsets to be good citizens. The question is, can they make even that look good? You'll have to decide for yourself.

On July 1, California's new state law that requires drivers to use hands-free technology like headsets and bluetooth-enabled devices will take full effect. The Policy Institute of California is predicting that this new law will save around 300 lives a year (a 7 percent decline in fatal car accidents), considering the drop other states have noticed since enforcing the law.
The penalty if you get caught talking with your phone to your ear?

Starting tomorrow, the coveted iPhone 3G S will go on sale at 211 Apple stores nationwide and at all 2,200 AT&T store locations as well. In light of the recent news that AT&T would be offering an upgrade pricing adjustment for current customers, I think it's safe to say more people will be upgrading. But before the iPhone 3G S makes it to your gadget hungry hands, it is packaged and sealed with love at the AT&T distribution center.

A brick in a box is hardly my dream gadget unboxing scenario, but that's exactly what happened to Consumerist reader Ryan, who bought a MacBook Pro at his local Best Buy, and took it home to open up the sealed box — and found this brick.
So far Best Buy hasn't refunded his money, insisting that he take it up with Apple, but some wily brick-seller in the loop is to blame somewhere. I have my eyes wide open when shopping for gadgets — especially used ones on Craigslist or eBay — but you wouldn't expect to be the victim of a scam going through a big chain like Best Buy.

Summer is quickly approaching (well, in my mind it is), so if you're one of those waterbugs that we'd never find more than a few feet away from a pool or beach in the Summer months, and always have your iPod on you, then protect it with the Amphibx Armband ($60-$80) for your iPod and iPhone.
Able to keep your gadgets completely dry in up to 12 feet of water, Amphibx fits your iPods and MP3 players no matter what the size, and still lets you control your tunes with its see through touchscreen cover and sealed headphone jack system. Since all of the armbands have a latch locking mechanism, you can take this armored car of waterproof armbands in the pool, ocean, water park, lake, or wherever you find a body of water.

Just one week after announcing the news that AT&T planned on selling the iPhone 3G with no commitment for $599 and $699 — most of you thought that was way too expensive — Apple retail stores are now offering the iPhone 3G without contract.
Two things to note about this. With T-Mobile expanding its 3G network coverage, this could mean more T-Mobile users upgrading to the iPhone (so you're locked to AT&T, but you could unlock at your own risk), and with the Apple store now selling the iPhone — contractless and no limit on how many you purchase — this basically seals the deal that a new iPhone is on its way this June.

One of my favorite activities in the Summer is heading-out to catch a baseball game! Although I may not know the ins and outs of the game, I go for the fun of it (and for a hot dog or two). But now, fans have even more reasons to head to the ball park this season: Sony recently announced that they have sealed a deal with the Yankees to pimp out their stadium with over 550 Bravia flat panel TVs, along with tons of Playstation 3s and Vaio computers to play with in select locations around the stadium.

It's been awhile since I've taken a pair of headphones or earphones for a test drive, so when my friends over at Etymotic Research sent me a pair of their latest hf5 fifth generation earphones, I instantly popped them in and turned-up my favorite playlist in iTunes.
As I've already discussed, Etymotic earphones are perfect for smaller earlobes since they come with an assortment of foam eartips for the perfect fit. They also offer noise isolation technology, so you will only hear your music and not surrounding sounds.
