There's often times when my friends send me a SMS with really important info and I end up deleting it when I go on my SMS-deleting binges. Usually it's an address, phone number, or name of a store or restaurant that I wish I would have saved or at least emailed to myself. For iPhone owners, there's this fantastic site called You Archive It that will store all your SMS messages online, and for free!

When we're out and about, my boyfriend is always telling me to remind him to add such and such movie to his Netflix queue or remember a product name to look up on Google later. Today I'm sending him a link to this article so I can retire from all my "remember this and that" duties. If you haven't heard of it already, Kwiry is the ultimate "free" service that will send you text messages of all the things you want to remember.

Usually the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is stumble over to my computer to look at my emails and check the text messages on my cell phone. Now imagine if while I was getting ready I could read text messages on my mirror?
Designer Robert Stadler from Radi Designers has made this possible with his limited edition +336+SMS Mirror, which is able to receive SMS messages sent from another cell phone.

I have a new favorite BlackBerry app that I definitely would have included in my 12 Free Must Have Apps For the BlackBerry roundup if I hadn't just discovered it until now!
We've all been there — meetings, during work, dinner dates — you know, those times when you can't always answer your phone and you need to silence a call immediately? With the Call You Back App for the BlackBerry, you can ignore your calls and it will send a text message to the person calling to let them know that you're at work, sleeping, watching a movie, etc.

My first experience with Google Mobile SMS (Beta) occurred last week when my boyfriend and I needed a phone number for a restaurant to order take-out. Since I didn't have my Blackberry with me we didn't have internet access, so my boyfriend suggested we text message Google for help. It was amazing!

Have you ever found yourself shopping on a British website and realized you have no idea how much $10,000 euros is in American dollars, or if staying in a Japanese hotel for 800 yen a night is a great deal or savings wrecker?
If you ever find yourself in a currency converting pinch and you don't have a special widget, heed this advice: Open up Google, type in the word "convert" followed by whatever confusing currency amount you need translated and the type of currency you would like it converted into. For example, my search "convert ¥99,750 to US dollars" brought back the result ¥ 99750 = 819.84525 U.S.

I recently realized that my days spent planning an evening out with friends seem to be fewer and far between. Our ability to stay in constant communication with each other via text, Twitter, Facebook, and more means there's no need to plan ahead. Instead I find myself saying, "Just text me when you get there," and creating our plan on the fly.

Dear GeekSugar,
I just got a new BlackBerry and was very excited to select my new ringtone and SMS notification sounds. When I am in my profiles, there's an option for setting for In Holster and Out of Holster, but I don't know what that means. Please help!
