Regis Philbin Puts an iPhone on His Holiday Wish List

Well well well. Back in early 2008, Kelly Ripa tried to get Regis Philbin to join the iPhone club, but he just wouldn't budge. And after almost two years of confessing her love for her iPhone, good ole' Regis has finally decided it's time to ask Santa for an iPhone - which he says he wants to fill with "thousands of apps." I think once he gets the hang of the iPhone, he'll love it. I mean, the guy does know what a search engine is, so maybe he isn't a total Luddite after all? Regardless, just listening to the adorable duo banter back and forth about tech is pretty priceless.

For all of you BlackBerry owners, I'm sure you're well aware of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Basically what it is, is IM right on your phone in real time. Unlike SMS, messages are free since they are sent through RIM servers, just like email. Now here comes the fun part: When you send a message, you'll see a D beside it to let you know that it was delivered. And as soon as the recipient reads the message, an R will appear (to show it has been received). Therefore, with BBM, it becomes impossible to ignore messages since the sender will know if you got the message but aren't responding. On yesterday's Live With Regis and Kelly, Bromance star Brody Jenner mentioned how his love affair with his girlfriend started with BBM. Are you a BBM user? What do you think about its revealing features?

Do You Ever Send Mean Emails?

When I saw the following clip on Live With Regis and Kelly, I couldn't help but LOL. Mainly because of Kelly's annoyed reaction, but also because of the "they're just like us" aspect. Even Regis and Kelly get quite the variety of emails sent to their inboxes.

I know I've discussed online rants before and how people have a tendency to do things online that they would never do in "the real world," but I'm curious to know if you've gone the distance and said something really mean in an email that you probably wouldn't have said to someone's face. Do tell below!

I always love watching Live With Regis and Kelly, especially when they have their funny host chats, which usually consist of some form of tech talk. So on yesterday's show, when Kelly quizzed Regis on Yahoo!, I was totally surprised that the self-proclaimed technophobe knew what it was!

Yesterday on Live with Regis and Kelly, Kelly couldn't help but fill Regis in on a little secret - that her iPhone is her personal weatherman - all at the touch of a button. She then attempts to sell good ol' Regis on the user-friendly Apple device that's easy for "technologically challenged" people to use. It's a cute clip with Regis admitting that he wishes people would just go back to using rotary phones - the "safe" way to do it, he says. What do you think? Is simpler always better?

Live With Regis and Kelly Goes 3D for Halloween

On October 31st, Regis and Kelly will be taking their Halloween spirit to a whole new geeky level-by hosting Live in 3D! Walgreens stores across the country will be offering free 3D glasses at the photo counter so we can all take part in the 3D action and geek out during one of our favorite morning shows. Approximately five million pairs will be given out -sorry only one per person. Watching Live's 3D Halloween Spectacular in three dimensions should be quite interesting-I can't say I've sported red and blue lens glasses for any other show before! I hope this new format doesn't interfere with all the fabulous costume changes-how awesome was it when Gelman dressed up as Britney, snake and all?!
