I talk a lot of game about keeping your cell phones and MP3 players safe and covered, but guess what — I don't always take my own advice. For example, my iPod is not covered most of the time, and I sometimes let my iPhone run naked in my bag. Bad news, I know.

Those sleek little laptop sleeves I love so much? Great for going to an office or a coffee shop and back home again, but what about when you're traveling and need your power cord and accessories? I always take care to put my laptop in a bag, tucked away all secure, but when it comes to my cord and other peripherals I need to take with me, I unceremoniously toss them wherever they'll fit.

I'm totally entranced by Redmaloo's felt laptop cases — they're modern, tactile, come in gorgeous colors, and they are totally innovative. Instead of zipping, snapping, or trying to get your laptop through a fold, these felt cases unfold and un-velcro to a flat panel, which in turn becomes your workstation, mouse pad and all.
Plus, I think that once you got it down, Redmaloo's design would be a way more efficient way to get your computer through airport security — you just put the whole thing in the bin and un-velcro, then re-velcro post-security belt!

I fell in love with Redmaloo's laptop sleeve because of the way it folded and wrapped around your laptop, instead of a traditional sleeve that you have to slip in and slide out.
At the airport, I think this would make a world of convenient difference, since you could put it and its case down in the security bin, and then just velcro it open and closed. The dealbreaker for me, though, is the $130 price tag.
