After falling in love with the user-friendly Pure Flip video camera, I was happy to learn that Pure Digital Technologies has just come out with the new and improved camcorder called the Flip Video Ultra Series. The queen of cell phones, Miss Paris Hilton, sure does know her way around a BlackBerry keypad, but who knew she was so intrigued in other gadgetry goods? While at the Sundance Film Festival, Paris chatted with Virgin America's director of in-flight entertainment and partnerships, Charles Ogilvie, about the new in-flight, seat-to-seat instant messaging keyboard. She told Ogilvie that she can't wait to try out the new high-tech entertainment system on an upcoming trip to New York and on the airline’s debut of in-flight WiFi, which will happen sometime this year.Paris was also spotted at a Philadelphia mall a week later promoting her new movie Hottie and the Nottie and showing off her photo skills with a Flip digital camcorder.

To help capture some Memorial Day weekend festivities, I took the latest camcorder from Pure Digital Technologies — the Flip UltraHD — out for a test drive. Since the first Flip was announced in 2006, these simple-yet-sophisticated cams have not only been the video camera of choice among celebrities, but the general public has fallen in love with them as well (with sales skyrocketing after Oprah sang its praises).

Pure Digital Technologies, the masterminds behind the popular Flip Mino, have just announced their latest addition: The Flip MinoHD.
With this tiny pocket-sized camcorder, you can now shoot and capture beautiful HD video on the go and then easily upload the footage to YouTube, TeamSugar, or MySpace with Flip Video's new FlipShare software (which is both PC and Mac friendly and it allows you to make edits to the videos).
The camera costs $230 and can record up to 60 minutes of HD video.
The Flip Video Mino Hits Stores Today
Pure Digital Technologies has just announced their latest addition to the pocket-sized camcorder family — the Flip Video Mino! Forty percent smaller than the Ultra Series Flip Cam (the one Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger use), the Mino weighs only 3.3 ounces, yet it can hold up to 60 minutes of video with 2GB of on-board flash memory.
The back-panel includes a 1.5-inch no glare LCD display and new intuitive touch-sensitive buttons that allow you to record, fast forward, rewind, pause and delete.
Oprah Is a Fan of the New Flip Ultra Video Cam
Did you watch Oprah on Tuesday to check out the official launching of her own YouTube channel? Oprah talked about the Flip Ultra Video Cam and how she's been using the Flip to capture and share behind-the-scenes footage of celebrities and other guests that she'll feature on the channel, in addition to videos she made of herself backstage. Oprah is already a huge fan of the pocket-sized Flip which is easy to use and allows you to directly upload video content to YouTube and other sites.
