I just spotted this shelf over on CrunchGear, and I must admit, I love it. The UBoard USB board and shelf ($50) features a glass top and three USB ports on its side. There's even a cup holder that attaches to the side!

Should Texting While Driving Be Grounds For Jail Time?
A 22-year-old driver in England was recently sentenced to 21 months in jail for her role in the death of a 24-year-old woman. According to police, she was text messaging while driving and slammed into the back of the other woman's stopped car on a dark highway, instantly killing her. The charge, "death by dangerous driving," is handled similarly to a drunk driving charge, and carries a recommended sentence of four to seven years in prison.
Should There Be an Age Minimum For Social Networks?
Social networking sites have long been popular with teens, and now researchers are saying they're becoming increasingly popular with younger kids, too. I don't think anyone's surprised by the findings; though both Facebook and MySpace require users to be at least 13 years old when signing up for accounts.
A researcher quoted in the CNN article says:
"Of course they are [using social networking sites].
Twitter Lists: Love It or Leave It?
After a long wait, Twitter has rolled out its Lists feature to all users.
The new feature allows you to group the people you follow into categories, which means less clutter on the homepage. Plus, you can view or subscribe to other users' lists.

Hooray for more retro-themed goodies! I'm digging the Check Your Head Pillow Cases ($25), featuring a cute screen print of a vintage turntable on one side and a set of headphones on the other.
They're similar to the mixed tape pillowcase I found earlier this year, so now I'm excited to have another geeky set in rotation.
