Playing video games while throwing back a few beers and eating pizza is the perfect recipe for a chillax Saturday night. Thankfully Pizza Hut has already helped us get our pizza fix easier with their easy to use iPhone app, and now Papa John's is going straight for the gold — the PlayStation 3. So now when you've racked up some serious points singing your brains out with Singstar but you've got the munchies and don't want to stop your sweet sounding music, just click on your PS3's browser homepage.

Hot damn! In the course of a couple weeks, we've seen both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 drop in price significantly, as well as the new, cheaper PS3 Slim option.
I have a ton of friends who previously couldn't stomach the high prices of either console, and either went for a cheaper system (hello, Wii), or decided to wait.

After weeks of rumors, the smaller, sleeker PS3 Slim was revealed at the GamesCom conference in Germany yesterday. The benefit is obvious — the Slim will sure fit much better in your media furniture and both will travel much easier.
Sony's response to a size demand is great; people are always hoping their favorite gadgets came in a smaller size for whatever purposes of convenience — why else do rumors of an iPhone Nano persist?

Although I'm not in Germany attending the GamesCom 2009, I've been anxiously awaiting the announcements to flow in from the upcoming conferences. First up, and admittedly the one I've been waiting for, is Sony's announcement of a thinner and cheaper PS3.
Launching on Sept.

If you just can't get enough music games in your life (what, like Rock Band, Guitar Hero and all those DJ games weren't enough?), then make room for Band Hero. Activision's answer to all those other hero games ups the ante by including a motion captured country superstar, complete with three hit songs (along with a few other pop favorites) to rock out to. Taylor Swift makes a cameo in the latest band-centric game to hit the market, and she wasn't just emulated in Band Hero, she was duplicated.

I've already exposed you to the beauty of decorative decals for your Wiis and laptops, so what about that shiny and new PS3 you have sitting in the corner? Kudos if you already have some fancy furniture to stow your consoles in, but what if that glistening black PS3 doesn't exactly go with the relaxing Zen living room look you were going for?
Etsy seller NoveltyGallery is selling these stylish PS3 floral skins, which only cost $19 each and are quite chic if you ask me (not to mention, this Twitter-inspired one!).

I know many people have been eying the PS3 since its launch but haven't gone for it, because for all its greatness — it's a Blu-ray player, a gaming console, a media center (and hopefully will come with Netflix support soon) — it carries a hefty price tag (the 160 GB version goes for $500, and the 80 goes for $400).
But that could all change this Summer when a long-awaited price cut will slash $100 off the system, if industry insiders are correct.
Sources say the cut will come mid-August timed with the release of Madden, and I don't think it could come at a better time.
