Even a geek like me - who can photoshop a zit out like nobody's business - needs to outsource once in a while. For photoshop tips, that is. Incoming, Photoshop Lady!

The Photoshop Lady - she looks friendly, doesn't she? - aggregates photoshop tips from all over the Internet, and then compiles them in a very pleasing manner.

Scroll through her directory for quick tips (a seemingly endless supply) on how to make your photos look like sketches, paintings, and cartoons - just to get started!

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

First of all, join the Website of the Day group.
Click the pink "Share" menu on the top left side of the page.
Choose "Blog" and “Regular Post.”
Give your story a “Title.”
Fill in the “Body” with a link to your favorite website and the reasons why you love it.
Click “Next."
Choose the audience for your story to “Website of the Day” in the drop-down menu
Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day").
Change channel to “Technology and Gadgets.”
Fill in tag field with relevant tags.
Click “I’m done” to submit content.

Does Comparing Your Body to Other Women's Make You Feel Better? Or Worse?

New site My Body Gallery is founded on the premise that, if you get to see photos of other women whose bodies are like your own, it can help with body image issues and give you a more subjective view of how you "really" look, since most women believe themselves to be wider and heavier than they actually are. Body hate is an issue that really is vital to address; poor self image adversely affects so many areas of a person's life, and it's rampant. However, I'm not certain that comparing my body to other people's is actually helpful. To see why I can get behind this site's motives, but perhaps not its reality, just keep reading.

Ever feel like a teetering top about to topple over . . . circa Inception? Welcome to the life of contract work. Although I cannot say my life since my departure from Asia is the perfect fairytale ending that I wished for, I cannot exactly complain either. This story is dated back to right around the holidays, when for most companies, finance especially, takes on a hiring freeze until the new year when promotions, bonuses, and yearly sweeps have been complete. For retail, this is almost the exact opposite.

I had been in contact with recruiters from two of SF’s premier retail establishment and on Christmas Eve, at 4 p.m. I received an email about a job offer. Sleepy-eyed from my 4 p.m. cat nap, I pinched myself to ensure the reality of this email. The next thought was which position was this exactly? I had applied and interviewed with so many companies, I failed to recollect which position this email was referring to. Now, comes the twist.
