How To Make A Photo Cube

I recently discovered the Tabblo Photo Cube, which is a fun DIY project that allows you to create a photo cube that you can print yourself.

Unlike PartySugar's beautiful but involved invitations, you don't need any glue, tape or even creative genes. You just need a selection of photos, a printer and some scissors. The result is an adorable simple keepsake, gift or desk accessory.

Snacking Good: Natchitoches Meat Pies

We've always wanted to take a stab at rolling out a few Natchitoches meat pies. Thanks to an easy recipe from Food Orleans, this might be a dream realized sooner rather than later.

Natchitoches meat pies are one of those special little treats with a name as fun to say as they are to scarf down. Nackadish - that's how you say it - is a small town we drive through on our way north to visit Alexandria or Oklahoma, and it's where Steel Magnolias was filmed, and it's famous for these little pies. It's a beautiful little place, with a picturesque riverfront lined with shops and restaurants that have their own sort of French Quarter-ish wrought iron balconies (remember the Easter scene where Jackson slapped Ouiser? That's the riverfront!). But you don't have to go into the actual town to get yourself some meat pies; just stop at any gas station right off I-10. They all fry them up and they're all pretty wonderful.

5 Ways to a Healthier Bowl of Yogurt

If yogurt is your go-to breakfast, you get a thumbs-up for choosing a food that's so high in protein and calcium. Aside from adding the usual half cup of fresh fruit, here are five ways you can make that bowl of yogurt even more nutritious.

Go Greek: A six-ounce container of nonfat vanilla yogurt contains seven grams of protein. But choosing Greek yogurt will give you more than twice the amount of protein - 16 grams! If you're not used to eating Greek yogurt, the consistency is a lot thicker than regular yogurt so it might take some getting used to, but it's well worth it.
Add milk: If you don't like the thick consistency of yogurt, stir in half a cup of cold skim milk. It will add 4.4 grams of protein, 158 mg of calcium, and 210 mg of potassium.
DIY flavors: When comparing Greek yogurt, plain offers 18 grams of protein for 100 calories, and strawberry is 140 calories with 14 grams of protein. So instead of buying the premade flavors, make your own. Buy a big container of plain yogurt and puree fruit in your food processor such as frozen blueberries or raspberries, or fresh pears or bananas. You can even throw in a few spinach leaves. Pour the puree in ice cube trays or baby food containers (like the Baby Cubes shown in the photo), and when you're ready for breakfast, take one out of the freezer to let thaw and add that to your bowl of plain yogurt. It'll not only keep the protein level high, it'll also add fiber with less sugar. And bonus - you'll not only save money making your own flavored yogurts, but you can come up with unique combinations that aren't even available such as blackberry peach or strawberry pear.

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince stopped at a pub in London's Shoreditch neighborhood yesterday after running errands, including a stop at the White Cube art gallery, during the afternoon. They went home and changed into something fancier to meet up with Topshop boss Philip Green at the exclusive restaurant Zuma. The newlyweds had thanks to offer Philip after he generously lent them his yacht for their almost two-week-long honeymoon in the Mediterranean. Following the meal, Kate, Philip, and Jamie piled into the back of a car to continue the festivities at the Dorchester Hotel. Now that Kate and Jamie are back to their English routine, following their lavish wedding and subsequent getaway, she's back in demand for work. Kanye West wants Kate Moss to model for his new line, according to reports. Kate and Jamie's July 1 ceremony may also launch the posing career of her 13-year-old sister. Lottie Moss could model as well after her photos in Kate's bridal party attracted the attention of scouts.

My husband and I have just moved into our new house, and I've finally finished decorating (for now, at least). The living room presented a bit of a challenge at first, because it's long and narrow. It's completely open to the dining room and kitchen, which is what I wanted. These rooms have a mix of new items, antiques, Ikea stuff, TJ Maxx stuff, random finds, family hand-me-downs, and so forth. I like it, because it feels collected - which it is. I hate it when rooms feel like you walked into a Rooms To Go and shouted, "I'll take it all!"

Trusty Husband and I got new furniture for this room, since the furniture we both had before wouldn't fit. Since the space is so narrow, I had to go with a glass coffee table (from Overstock) so it wouldn't visually take up much space. The oriental rug was my mom's, and I love the teals and rusty oranges in it. The throw pillows are from World Market, Pier 1, and TJ Maxx - I love combining colors and patterns - that ikat pillow is my fave. Our couch came from Haverty's, and the leather chairs are World Market. My mom gave me the framed palm prints a few years ago, and they're one of my favorite things I own.
