On Nov. 20, eBay will be opening a 5,500 square-foot, fun interactive pop-up store on 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York where customers can shop the entire eBay Marketplace via Internet kiosks, handheld tablets and the eBay iPhone app. And on Black Friday, there will be a limited quantity of daily deal products which will be awarded to the first 100 shoppers who visit the store — get em' while they're hot!

The Mac vs. PC commercials may have slipped out of our collective social conscious recently because they aren't running as often as they were six months ago, but that doesn't mean they are no longer powerful, or funny. BuzzSugar tipped me off to the fact that FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," show has turned the Mac vs.

As the news rolls in that Earthlink is pulling its citywide WiFi coverage from Philadelphia, any geeky San Franciscan is probably thinking about how close we came to having public WiFi blanket cover our fair city too (please say it's not over till it's over, Gav).
Bittersweetness aside, I've thought of how it would realistically affect me - and I'm pretty sure that it would be absolutely amazing in terms of taking my laptop anywhere to work and play - any coffee shop, getting a pedi, any park. But here's the rub: No way would I stop paying for DSL at home.

Want to get a nice up and close look at HP's Mini Vivienne Tam special-edition notebook? The red-hot digital clutch is being featured in Macy's Flower Show (which is worth checking out in and of itself) in New York City, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia. You can find the notebook at Macy’s Herald Square in New York (2nd floor), Macy’s on State Street in Chicago (3rd floor), and Macy’s Union Square in San Francisco (3rd floor) or else opt for the guided tour of the displays at each location.

Hearing the story of someone forced to charge their gadgets in a hotel bathroom makes me shudder. And a little angry, honestly.
The offender, a Sheraton hotel in Philadelphia, didn't provide any outlets in the entire hotel room, forcing the guest to plug in laptop and phone in the loo.

This era of web 2.0 is awesome for the consumer aspect of our lives; no longer do we have to guess if a restaurant is going to be good (or has violated health codes, yeeesh!), or if the down comforter you want to order online will be fluffy enough. No, we can rely on each other, uh-huh (yes that is an "Islands in the Stream" reference)!
Whether it's a helpful reviewer on Yelp that tips you off to the sushi place in your neighborhood you didn't know existed, or the lady in Philadelphia who can report that the vacuum you're eyeing on Overstock is a waste of money, it's awesome that we can trust each other's reviews.

Yesterday, PetSugar informed me about a magical transportation service called BoltBus — an affordable, geek-friendly way to travel. So I maybe don't need to take a bus anytime soon in the New York, Philadelphia, Boston, or Washington region, but hello?! It's a frickin bus with free WiFi, which is still a luxury, and for the best part.

Do you know many guys who are socially awkward in person, but once they're in front of a computer they transform into confident ladies' men? Well for Roger Hobbs, a total nerd away from the computer, the Internet became his alter ego. This past weekend, the New York Times showcased the story of Roger, from the trials and tribulations of his Love 2.0 experiences, to the power of online conversation in allowing him to "escape his loser identity and become the super-cool cyber Casanova he thought he deserved to be."
