Taylor Swift, Travis Barker, and Pete Wentz Talk Band Hero

Available in stores today, Band Hero is Activision's latest game, which lets friends and family members rock out with their Guitar Hero instruments to favorites like "ABC" by the Jackson 5 and "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls. You can even sing along with other famous singers including country superstar Taylor Swift who performs some of her most popular hits like "Love Story," "You Belong With Me," and "Picture to Burn."

Should Celebrities Be Given Seniority to Online Usernames?

One word of advice, don't register any Jennifer Lopez URLs in the near future. The entertainer and mother of two just won her cybersquatting (must add this one to the geek dictionary) case against a man who registered jenniferlopez.net and jenniferlopez.org to send users to a pay-per-click ad site.

And speaking of celebrities and names, Twitter is now taking celebrity usernames and giving them back to the real celebrity. That's right, say you register your Twitter username under the alias Lindsay Lohan (probably already taken) but say you did secure that name, Twitter would probably take it from you later and tell you to pick a different name.

What is going on here? Is Twitter realizing that their popularity is increasing due to celebrity participation and therefore is striving to give them preferential treatment over other users? And how do they determine who a real "celeb" is? Is every A, B, C, and even D list celeb going to be knocking on Twitter's door begging for their name back?

What are your thoughts on this? Should celebs be given any preferential URL and/or username treatment when it comes to the web? In the meantime, this non-celeb geek will keep using Namechk to see what sites I can and can't use my real name for.

Pete Wentz Falls Down With His Flip

At first glance, you may think that Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is taking part in a photo shoot for his band - "Wentz falls down for Fall Out Boy," perhaps? Oh, I crack myself up sometimes. Wentz is just like everyone else (except cameras cover all his doofus moves), and stumbled over a step while carrying his white Flip Video camera the other day. Maybe he's practicing his video-taping skills before the baby arrives? Starting a new vlog, are we? Just don't hurt the cam, Pete!

Party For Helio MUSIC And Fallout Boys New Album

Pete Wentz from Fallout Boys and celebs like Kim Kardashian recently went out full force at the Roosevelt Hotel to celebrate Helio music and the launch of the Fallout Boys' new album Infinity on High and Helio Music. Helio music is the newest addition to Helio's line of custom built 3G services which allows you to organize your music, create custom playlists and instantly access your favorite tunes. You can also check out artist bios and images, preview songs, view community recommendations then download tracks over-the-air via the 3G network. I have yet to experiment with Helio's music services, but by the sounds of it, it seems like they keep getting more advanced and useful. Of course if you have a Helio, you can get Popsugar's content all day.
