It's usually easy to predict which movies will become movies, like the Harry Potter series. Other times, it's a little confounding (Juno?!), and I'm surprised but pleased to learn of the new Wizard of Oz game for the Nintendo DS.
The 3D role-playing game is based on the book and the subsequent movie, and though it seems like a bit precious, it actually looks pretty cool.

The greatest geeky battle is being fought on our nation's streets. . .the streets of Hollywood, that is.

At long last AT&T has launched the BlackBerry Curve, which is being touted as the smallest and lightest full QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone on the market, and I know a few geeks (including Adrian, Nicky, Michelle Rodriguez and yours truly) who can't help but drool over the new model.
The device is available in the U.S. exclusively from AT&T and weighs approximately 3.9 oz - my tiny BlackBerry Pearl weighs 3.1 oz.

If you're into eco laptop bags you'll probably love the The Original AppleSac, $29.99, a burlap and polyester sherpa fleece case that makes your ungreen Apple a little more green.
I love the juxtaposition of the earthy AppleSac with a high tech computer, and the fact that the case cleverly disguises your computer instead of calling out the fact that you are carrying a $1,500 machine.
If you're looking for something with a little more color, check out the company's chocolate brown ColcaSac case, which is made of heavy 18.5 oz basketweave canvas, or the Peony Lace case, which is made of pretty reversible Peony Lace fabric.

People always tell me that geeks and gamers are the biggest party animals, a fact I have yet to prove but am willing to investigate. clubNAMCO is selling a set of six collectible 1.5oz glasses imprinted with 8-bit characters from the classic game. For $30 you get Pac-Man, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Pokey and bonus Cherries.
