Dr. Phil and Oprah Don't Tweet in Real Time

It's already been four months since the queen of daytime television signed up to get her very own Twitter account, and now that she is quite the expert, Oprah Winfrey is sharing her Twitter habits with guests. When Dr. Phil stopped by the show last week, they both admitted to updating their profiles after they've already been somewhere - which is understandable considering the following of people they would have if they were live tweeting their whereabouts! Do you ever "fudge the truth" when tweeting?

Oprah Asks "Where the Skype Are You?"

Today on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah will be dedicating her entire hour to the free video conferencing and telephone service Skype. She will not only chat with Skype's president Josh Silverman (via Skype, naturally), but she'll also be Skyping into Antarctica, a submarine and even an airplane. Ever since September, I swear Oprah has been using Skype more to chat with guests rather than having them fly to Chicago. One of my favorite "Skype In" guests would have to be last Friday's guest, Brutus the Bear and his owner Casey Anderson, who rescued him when he was just two weeks old.

I use Skype every so often to call family across the country, but other than that, I'm not an avid user like Oprah. Personally, I really like Google Video - what about you?

Wowzas! In just over a month, Oprah Winfrey has signed up for Facebook and has now logged on to Twitter. Her best bud Gayle King has also gotten in on the action and is trying to help Ashton reach his one million followers goal. By the sounds of it, Oprah will be using a portion of her live show tomorrow to discuss the micro blogging phenomenon. And how do we know for sure? Ashton has already Twittered about his cameo on the show.

Talk about a big Friday the 13th for Facebook. Not only is Mark Zuckerberg appearing on Oprah's Fridays Live show, but the big Facebook's redesign should have rolled out to almost all of its users today (everyone should see the changes by the end of the day). In preparation for the show, Oprah's team of producers made sure they registered the show for a Facebook account - which was one of the first to adopt the advertising-friendly redesign. Not only will the queen of talk be talking tech with Zuckerberg, but the gadget obsessed Jimmy Fallon will also be making a cameo.

Oprah is going to be quite the busy bee this week as she broadcasts her show from the Kennedy Center Opera House, in Washington D.C., to be in the center of all of the inauguration action. Already getting excited for the big day, Oprah unveiled her latest gadget obsession - an inauguration countdown keychain - which looked similar to one of these during her Friday's Live show this past week. She noted that her new pal, Silicon Valley investor Sam Perry (who she wept on during the election night victory rally in Chicago), sent her the digital keychain as a gift.

One celebrity I never get to use in my regular Match the Celeb With the Cell Phone feature is Oprah Winfrey. Why? Because girlfriend "didn't" have a cell phone - until now! On a recent episode of her show, Oprah revealed to financial guru Suze Orman that she finally got a CELL PHONE! As reluctant as she was to come over to the cell phone dark side, Oprah decided it was time and showed off her latest tech toy at Tuesday's election night victory rally in Chicago.

From what my geeky eyes can see, Oprah either has a shiny and new BlackBerry Bold or a BlackBerry 8830 World Edition model. How cute is the matching case/outfit combo? She's already working the trendy tech accessories! I wonder what made her realize it was time to get techie? Maybe her new found love for the Kindle?
