Oct 2 2009 - 3:50am When I moved to San Francisco, I instantly became hooked on a popular show called
MythBusters. Now in its seventh season, the show is filmed right here in the city (bigger stunts are filmed in the Bay Area) and is hosted by the original MythBusters themselves — Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage. By using scientific technique and incorporating carefully-planned stunts, props, special effects (which usually involves something being blown up) and other elements into the show, the entire team — which also includes Tory Belleci , Grant Imahara and Kari Byron — investigates myths or "urban legends" to see whether they are "busted," "plausible," or "confirmed."

Looks like so much fun! It's neat to see inside this studio. I learned there's no need to run in the rain from this show. You get more wet!
1LOVE the Mythbusters! It's fun being a nerd!
2Same here - Love All of them... Shout outs to Grant, Tory & Kari!

Also, congrants to Kari on the birth of her daughter, Stella.

Long live MYTHBUSTERS!!
I love this show. I have the Discovery Channel app on my iPod to watch clips in-between shows on TV!
Kari is my hero, too... she's just so awesome.
4Omg! Love them! Thank you so much!
5Glad you got in there and got an interview, looks great.. but the audio! I love the theme, but it's utterly blasting, and then when they talk I can hardly hear them. Maybe a remix is in order?
6I don't know who edited the sounds on this but it's horrible...love the interview
7I'm still perfecting my video editing skills
8I would STRONGLY suggest lowering the volume on the music by a LOT. If I turn the volume down to where the music is comfortable (not blaring), I can't hear the voices. If I turn the volume down to where I can hear the voices, the music is VERY LOUD.
This is a relatively simple task in most video editing packages (including iMovie).
I would also suggest miking your interviewees in the future, so that the voices are better captured.
Hope this helps.
9i'm with zappa and anon up there, you need to adjust the sound levels - either drop the music down or jack up the interview portions. . . as it stands, if a viewer turns up the volume to hear jamie and adam, when the music transitions kick in they're uber loud. . .
i wouldn't go so far as to say it's the flip's fault, you just need to look into that portion of your video editing software that lets you adjust the volume so that the levels of the music and flip's audio are similar. . .
10Very fun story, and those guys are so cool that it must have been a geek dream come true! I'll just echo what others have said. The music was really loud and the interview quiet, so having the music pulled back a bit might have been a good solution...I was constantly raising and lowering the sound. But again, great vid and got to learn a few things about the guys that I didn't know, so thanks and congrats!
11oh yeah, i was the 2nd anon up there and forgot to mention i also dug the interview. . . thanks!. . .
12Tory is My Nephew He is Great on That Show Has Fans All over the World Even in ITALY
13Ahh Hi Sal! We all love the show! Thanks for the compliments. I'm working at fixing the volume levels so it doesn't blast your ears!
14I fixed the audio levels --- hopefully can hear the guys a bit better now!
