Will the Nook Be Your Next Favorite Gadget?

We're still a few weeks away from the launch of the Barnes and Noble Nook ($259), but I have a feeling it could be in the running to become one of my new favorite gadgets! I loved the Kindle when it first hit the shelves, and the Nook is definitely stacking up to its eReader competition. Its sleek design, controls and touch screen just scream for someone to pick it up, while the accessories and designer covers make me drool.

You probably know by now that my beloved iPhone is one of my all-time favorite gadgets. But I also love discovering new things, and learning what others can't live without in the My Favorite Gadgets group.

Recently, reader Shadowcat 559 shared her must haves, including:

Her purple LG Lotus cellphone. "It is a Google Android phone and I can use You Tube and Facebook on it. It also has GPS. I can also access both my Google and Yahoo email accounts and it doubles as a MP3 player."
A Sierra Wireless USB Modem. "I can take my laptop everywhere and I don't have to worry about finding a wireless signal."
Her Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop. "I can't go anywhere without it. It has a large screen."

I have to commend glam sugar for sharing a few of her geekiest things and doing for color, what Leopardcc did for Leopard print.

Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
Choose "Blog"
Give your photo a Title
Leave the category as "general"
Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "My Favorite Gadgets")
Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture, do it before the code that has appeared.
Click Submit

My Favorite Gadgets: Rachelface's Collection

When it comes to gadget caboodles no two are alike. Some are simple, some are cluttered, some are serious and some, like this one from Rachelface seem to combine fun, serious and cute all into one. Rachelface shared her Sony Vaio VGN-FS980, pink Nintendo DS, pink RAZR (she's hoping that someday they make a pink BlackBerry!), pink iPod Nano and her adorably pink wii-mote in our My Favorite Gadgets group, offering a giant dose of chic pink fun.

Everyone comments on how tiny it is, which is why I bought it in the first place. Apple iPod in Paul Frank Skully case with Hello Kitty headphones, Creative Zen Nano Plus: great for working out, Motorola Q with Pink case and Hello Kitty dressed as Keroppi phone charm, Nintendo DS: bought this before the DS Lite came out.
