We expected the maxi pad refrence when the iPad name was confirmed, and it wasn't long before we got our first iMaxi iPad Case ($40) to protect our brand-new tablets. But someone else is expanding our horizons with the Maxi Mouse Pad ($11). I came across this nonslip mouse pad and had to chuckle. Is this where things are headed? School yard humor aside, it leads us to an interesting edition of Would You Rather. In true WYR form, there will be no third option, so you must decide - would you rather rock the iMaxi iPad Case, or the Maxi Mouse pad?

Geek Tip: Use Old Mouse Pads to Fix Wobbly Chair Legs

Last week I showed you that old mouse pads needn't be tossed in the trash or Goodwill pile - they can be re-born as coasters. On that same token, the soft squishy fabric is great for a number of uses around the house.

If you've got a table or chair that's semi-wobbly, cut a small piece of an old mouse pad to fit under the wobbly leg.

On chairs, you'll want to affix the padding with some glue, so you can move them without losing the pads, but for a table, you probably don't even need any adhesive at all.

Geek Tip: Turn Old Mouse Pads Into Coasters

We've all got them lurking around our desks at home and work: old, unused mouse pads. They're flat and not taking up too much space, but they've got a second life in them, easily!

My super quick geek tip is also green: turn your old mouse pads into coasters with five minutes, a pair of scissors, and a pencil.

Just take your mouse pad and mark pencil lines so you know where to cut. Use a ruler or a straight edge for neat edges. Then, simply cut along your lines, and ta-da! Instant coasters ready for the party. You can get creative too with different shape cutouts or adding designs to each coaster.
