It only makes sense that daytime talk-show host Kelly Ripa — a self-proclaimed iPhone addict — is teaming up with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to help raise awareness during Ovarian Cancer Month with a text-a-thon!
Throughout the rest of the month, Kelly will be encouraging people to help fund research for a cure by donating money by either texting "Kelly" to 85944 or by visiting Kelly Confidential.
I'm sure Kelly will keep us posted on the text-a-thon progress via her new favorite microblogging site — Twitter!

I've seen pink BlackBerrys, gold BlackBerrys, white BlackBerrys, red BlackBerrys and then all of the standard-colored BlackBerrys, but royal purple? This is a delightful treat. The new BlackBerry Curve 8530 should be coming to Sprint some time this month, but we still don't know specifics about price (Verizon is charging $100 after a mail-in rebate, so you can expect something comparable).

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Canon is increasing pink awareness with their Canon Pink Bundle ($280), which features a PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital ELPH camera, and the SELPHY CP760 Compact Photo Printer, both in a pink melody hue. You'll also get a pink ribbon charm and a mammogram reminder magnet to help promote their pink campaign. What I love about this pink product bundle is the fact that you can print your pics from the cam, without having to connect to a computer — just pop in your memory card to preview, display and print!

Well, maybe not so shocking to some of you who need their Sims fix on the daily (hey, I'm not hating, just sayin'), but when I read over Next-Gen's list of the top 100 games sold in the past 12 months throughout the US and Europe, I was a little surprised. Why? Well, because if you were one of the fans of Heavenly Sword or even Burnout Paradise that made numbers 78 and 71 respectively, then you will be shaking your head to know that games like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End made the top 20 in sales for the past year.

Last week I pointed out the barrage of great pink items on the market right now in honor of the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
It would be impossible for me to call out all the fantastic pink gizmos and gadgets that are giving a portion of their proceeds to breast cancer research, so I asked you readers to help me find the best items by bookmarking them.
You readers came up with some great finds, which are both cute and crucial to finding a cure.

As you probably already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, which is the time of year companies typically release limited edition pink devices as a way of showing support and giving back to breast cancer research.
I've shared the special edition pink shuffle from Target as well as the pink Sony Vaio (seen at right) with you, but I figure there are plenty of other limited edition gadgets and gizmos out there that I haven't seen yet.
I'd like to put together a list of the best Breast Cancer Awareness gadgets on the web and I need your help.

24’s geeky Mary Lynn Rajskub has pulled a Jenna Fischer and amped up her smart and spunky TV persona with a sultry "geeky girl gone wild" spread in the new, but charming Geek Monthly magazine. While she plays nerdy computer whiz Chloe O'Brian on the hit show, Mary revealed to the magazine that she's not exactly as technically savvy as Chloe.

Vampire power month may be over (how appropriate that it was in October, no?), but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop trying to find ways to reduce our electric bills! We are living in a digital world, which means nearly everything needs to be juiced up to work. I've already got my laptop working overtime at the office and at home, so you can imagine that I'm a pretty powerful energy vampire on my own.

I'm starting to think Apple might be reading my mind — every time I find something I don't like about my iPhone, I realize they've already thought of a solution. Similar to learning how to quickly scroll to the top of the screen on my iPhone, I wish I would have known about this quick shortcut months ago.
If you're typing a URL into Safari on your phone, there's a convenient ".com" button on the keyboard — great when the suffix to the site you're trying to visit is .com.
