Molly Sims Geeks Out With Her Decorated DS

I spy with my little eye, something shiny and sparkly! In this week's issue of Life & Style, Molly Sims was caught showing off her bling'd out white Nintendo DS (one of my favorite portable devices ever) at a recent event. We're giving away our own white DS, but lucky Molly has had hers covered with black and pink crystals in the shape of a sexy pump. How very Sex and the City, no?

Although L&S dubbed her a "Diva" for glamming up her gaming gadget, I think it's totally geek chic. But who would have thought otherwise coming from a fashion powerhouse like Molly Sims!? What do you think of her decorated DS?

Eva, Molly Sims and Friends Support Microsoft's Vista

Microsoft's new operating system Vista won't be available to consumers until Jan. 30, but celebrities like Eva Longoria, Molly Sims and Maria Menounos showed up to show their support and test out the goods. Fergie's fella Josh Duhamel, DJ AM and William H. Macy showed there are still a few male geeks out there - although I always figured Macy to be a Mac man.

Do You Make Goofy Faces When You Play Video Games?

OK seriously, when I saw the picture of Molly Sims' blinged out Nintendo DS the other day, I noticed the gadget second. The first thing I noticed was the totally gooftroop face she was making while playing her game. My second favorite weird face is Ms. Hayden Panettiere's here.

But I'm not passing judgment - I do it too! Whether I'm scrunching up my nose, closing one eye, or have my mouth wide open, I'm never not making a stupid face while I'm gaming. It's kind of like how John Mayer makes those weird "O" faces when he plays the guitar.

I'm pretty sure a scientist will come forward with studies in the near future proving that yes, making a stupid face does increase your video game prowess.

So, I know I am not alone - do you make a goofy face when you play video games?

Are You Going to Upgrade to Vista?

Bill Gates has shocked the entire industry by using some unusual vocabulary to describe his excitement for the Microsoft Vista Operating System, which comes out today. "This 'Wow' thing is a great way of describing what we've got here," Microsoft's chairman told The Associated Press on Monday as the software maker began a slate of splashy events in New York. "There are chances for wows all over the product."

Looks like Jimmy Kimmel, who hung out at the Windows Vista Lounge with Eva Longoria, Molly Sims and DJ AM last week, has already gotten a chance to take the system for a spin. Now available to the public, Vista retails for $100 to $400, depending on the version and whether the user is upgrading from Windows XP. As a mac user I'm not as thrilled as some for the new OS, but I am excited by the idea of running it on my mac and seeing what the fuss is all about. So, who is running out and buying Vista right away?

Former West Wing Star Allison Janney is her own definition of geek chic. Known for her witty role as Claudia Jean 'C.J.' Cregg, the White House Press Secretary, Janney held the seat as one of the most powerful women on television and was never afraid to use big words and strategy to scare anyone on the show. Last week, Janney joined Molly Sims, Eva Longoria, Josh Duhamel, DJ AM and William H. Macy to support the launch of Microsoft's new operating system Vista.

Another geeky thing about Janney, she formerly lived with Dennis Gagomiros, a computer programmer, in a Manhattan loft. My motto: those who love geeks must be part chic.
