Download of the Day: Mojo

Instead of visiting your friend's house to rip all of her CDs one by one, you can save yourself the trouble with Mojo - it's a download that gives you convenient access to your friends' iTunes libraries. Now, you can't download Mojo and just grab everyone's music willy-nilly - the friends need to be on your network at the same time, and they need to have downloaded Mojo as well.

After you've both downloaded Mojo, you get your friend's username and add each other. When you open iTunes, the compatible library will show up in the left margin, and as you browse through his or her library, there's a download option next to it you can select when you see something you like.

Oddly enough, Ozzy Osbourne - who has already worked his geek mojo for World of Warcraft - has just teamed up with Samsung to help catapult the new Samsung Jack Windows smartphone into drool-worthy gadget status. This cheeky new commercial features Ozzy having some issues with his personal assistants and shows how his Samsung Jack could easily replace them. My favorite part? Watching him do an "unboxing" with his rock star black nails!

Not only are you supporting an environmentally conscious company that puts my pantry kitchen recycling bin to shame, but I like that I can't define the Sidecar as a camera, iPod, or cell phone case - it's lined and big enough to fit a few things in there. If you want to give your beautiful Mac laptop that extra bit of mojo it needs to get back in the fast lane, here are a few tips that just might do the trick.
Clean out start-up items To avoid unnecessary applications automatically setting themselves as start-up items, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items. To remove them, click on the item and hit the minus button at the bottom of the list. Be careful not to delete any important applications!

Get rid of unused widgets With so many fabulous free widgets available for your dashboard, I know how easy it is to go on a downloading rampage. If there's some you don't use, make sure to disable or delete them as they take up RAM and processor power to run, even when your dashboard is hidden.
