For me, part of gearing up for the holiday season is the realization that I'm going to overindulge in holiday goodies from time to time. While this time of year isn't the best for trying to shed extra pounds, there's still benefit in watching what I'm eating — even if I allow myself a few "cheat" days here and there. Lose It!

Luckily, there are plenty of simple techie tools that can keep count of your efforts, whether you're working on your fitness, carefully tracking your calorie intake or just curious about how much ground you are covering in your new favorite run.
Just like your fitness regime, most of the popular workout and calorie counting apps and websites require a little setup, but minimal daily effort once you get started.

Pictures, documents, personal information data and other important files need to be kept safe, so that the only thing being stolen is the laptop, not your identity.

Last weekend's server crash resulting in T-Mobile Sidekick users losing all of their data left a lot of Sidekick users understandably angry. At first, T-Mobile considered recovering the lost data unlikely, but now it seems that most of the data has been recovered and will be restored to Sidekick users shortly.
Part of the problem: Microsoft offers no digital backup for the Sidekick.

Over the weekend, T-Mobile experienced a server failure from its data server provider Danger, which is a subsidiary of Microsoft (umm, I'm already suspicious of a company that has a server named Danger!). Servers go down all the time, but T-Mobile has announced that it is unable to recover personal data stored on Sidekicks.
T-Mobile is urging Sidekick customers to keep their devices turned on, keep it connected to a power source, and to not reset it or remove the battery.

What if you bought a refurbished gadget, only to be suspected of theft? And, then to add insult to injury were cleared but had the gadget replaced with a rival product?
That's what happened to a man in North Carolina, Dustin Waller, who bought a refurbished Playstation 3, which had been reported stolen, unbeknownst to him.
