In Blood Diamond Academy Award-winner Jennifer Connelly plays Maddy Bowen, an American journalist who gets caught up in the story of two men, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou, in search of a rare pink diamond. The film is set in 1990's Sierra Leone and filled with civil war and conflict, which Connelly's character captures on a fancy Leica camera.
According to camera fans, Connelly's character uses an M6 Classic and a 35mm Summicron.

My first celebrity crush and Oscar nominee Leo DiCaprio will be rocking the trendy Samsung Black Carbon Phone this Sunday at the awards ceremony, reports People. The Black Carbon cell is part of Samsung’s Ultra Edition line and said to be one of the "thinnest, slimmest sliders in the world."

Earlier this week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences screened Star Wars as part of a series of 3Oth Anniversary celebrations and before the start of the show, guests were treated to this special clip warning them not to pick up their phones during the show.

Surprisingly, the celebrity gadget endorsements hit an all time low this week, as the Oscars opted not to pass out the famous gift bags. Still, La La land wasn't without geek gift suites - the Gadget Universe debuted what its makers are calling "one of the most innovative vehicle protection devices for celebrities" - a Spion Vehicle Safeguard video recording device that you can place on your dashboard or in the back of your car so you can catch all those pestering photographers following you. Or, if your name is Brooke Hogan, your dad can install it so he can keep tabs on you around the clock.
