I gotta give it to Leica, they sure know how to make drool-worthy cameras! The Leica M9 was revealed this week, and not only does this bad boy shoot full 35MM quality in high-resolution digital format, but it's got intuitive controls, and comes with a license for Adobe Lightroom so you can snap and edit right out of the box. Plus, it's small and compact so you can take it anywhere, and don't even get me started on the picture quality.

I've already expressed to you how much I really like camera cases which conform to the camera's lens, so when I came across these leather cases — made specifically for Leica cameras — I was wishing I had a Leica (and not just because Scarlett Johansson rocked one in Vicky Christina Barcelona — OK, maybe!). Shipped straight to you from a guy named Luigi in Italy, these cases are definitely the real deal. There are 12 different colors to choose from and each case only costs around $45.

White's been having a resurgence for gadgets, and I am definitely a fan of the look. Camera manufacturers have also definitely gotten the memo, like this special edition M8 from Leica. If you're getting into the shiny mod shade for your next camera, check out a few of my faves that run the gamut from basic to lomo to luxe.

Either Kanye West wanted to capture the moment at the Givenchy show in Paris this week or he was trying to impress the ladies with his beautiful Leica camera. Whatever the reason, he is sure to get some high quality pics from this digital camera. The Leica D-LUX 3 10-megapixel camera comes with 4x wide angle optical image stabilized zoom, a high quality lens and can capture pictures with enough detail for 18 x 24-inch prints—so Kanye can blow up this pic of him, Alexis, Courtney and Mario to ginormous proportions.

When Molly noticed Scarlett Johansson has been working both in front and behind the camera for an untitled Woody Allen movie in Barcelona, I wondered what kind of camera the starlet has been using.
My investigation team - made up of camera geek YumSugar and myself - concluded that it must be the uber chic Leica M8.
The model, which is a digital version of the company's famous M camera, was recently released in Europe and is sold in silver and black.

Lindsay Lohan couldn't resist having some one-on-one time with a pink Leica digital camera at the flagship Charlotte Ronson store in Tokyo on Friday. She must have borrowed it from a friend, as this trendy pink cam isn't available in the US just yet. Want something similar?

In Blood Diamond Academy Award-winner Jennifer Connelly plays Maddy Bowen, an American journalist who gets caught up in the story of two men, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou, in search of a rare pink diamond. The film is set in 1990's Sierra Leone and filled with civil war and conflict, which Connelly's character captures on a fancy Leica camera.
According to camera fans, Connelly's character uses an M6 Classic and a 35mm Summicron.

The Leica Mini Digital Camera is perfect for all of us who drooled over Jennifer Connelly's fancy Leica camera in last year's Blood Diamond or the uber chic Leica M8 Scarlett Johansson used on the set of a Woody Allen project.
As you can see from the picture, the mini camera looks just like the real thing, but instead of costing at least $4,795 on Amazon, this one costs a mere $225. And yes, it works.
