Despite the fact that I can't remember the last time I purchased a physical CD, I still need somewhere to store my classics. While the bright sorbet colors don't exactly mesh with my interior design sense I must admit I think these Japanese Dice CD Storage Racks would make the perfect gift for my nine-year-old cousin. They come in orange, green, pink and blue and can hold up to 60 CDs each. They cost 1,575 yen or about $13. Do you prefer serious and subtle cases or would you rock these?

Found: John Connor's Handy Mobile Computer

In the future . . . you must carry an Ultra Mobile PC! Even after "Judgment Day," it's good to see that the Resistance can still get their hands on some hot gadgets to fight the good fight. I saw Terminator: Salvation last week and was happy to see the Sony Vaio UX ($2500) make a cameo just as John Connor rushes to save the world (don't worry, I won't reveal any spoilers!).

Hitting the scene at CES back in 2007, the Vaio UX is not a smartphone - it's a micro computer. It's built with a solid-state drive, Bluetooth, GPS, Wide Area Network 5 (WAN5) technology (to get a wireless signal faster and farther), USB 2.0 ports, and two cameras designed to make video conferencing easy while on the go (or, in this case, on the run).

I was hoping to find a picture of this bad boy in full cinema action, but no dice. I guess you'll just have to go see it in theaters for yourselves!

Friday Night Fun: Spin the Bottle iPhone App

Before you dismiss this post because you're "past the Spin the Bottle" age, hear me out.

You have a bunch of friends over and you decide to play some games. Rather than using the old-school method of drawing straws or rolling a dice, you can use this free Spin the Bottle app to decide which player is up next. You can even adjust the speed and direction of the bottle.

And who knows, maybe after a few Grey Goose Martinis, you'll feel a bit more spontaneous and find yourself pulling a Joey and Pacey in the center of the room.

Trials of the Dead Mighty Mouse Scroll Wheel

If you've gotten used to the joys of the Mighty Mouse scroll wheel, then you know how utterly annoying it is to go to scroll down a page and not have it work. I mean, where am I without a scroll wheel?! Back to the early '00s with the whole point, click, and drag thing, that's where. Since you can't get in there to find the cause for the breakdown or blockage, you'll probably assume it's time to replace it - but don't give up hope just yet. You might be able to save yourself a few bucks and try to bring the little guy back to life yourself.

I've done some legwork and attempted a number of cleaning methods to see which one worked the best. Test methods included pressing down on the wheel and scrolling, wiping down the wheel with cleaner, trying to smack whatever might be lodged in there loose by tapping the mouse on my desk, and spraying it with canned air. Unfortunately, pressing down on the scroll wheel and scrolling only works for so long. I even thought I might be at risk for pushing the little wheel down into the mouse, never to be heard from again if I pressed any harder!
No dice for wiping down the wheel with alcohol swabs. Unfortunately cleaning the wheel does not clear whatever is inside.
Smacking the mouse on my desk to dislodge whatever might have been stuck in the mouse proved more annoying to my officemates than effective.
The last and winner of the test was the canned air. I use this stuff to clean my keyboard, and it works wonders with the mouse as well.

It's been a number of days since I cleaned my Mighty with the canned air – having sprayed in all visible cracks to ensure my mouse was fresh and clean – and it's still scrolling along like the first day we met. If you don't keep canned air around, it will set you back at least five bucks, but you'll end up saving $45 to $65 in replacement costs!

A Juno Video Game? I'm Still in Shock

Lately, the tide has been turning in the world of gaming, with the market opening up to new people who may not have played before. Thanks, in part to the popularity of the Wii, tons of titles are hitting the shelves aimed at the "casual gamer" who may not dig Rainbow Six Vegas, but who likes spending quality time getting healthy with Wii Sports or even taking a few hours learning about sea life from Endless Ocean.

But with recent rumors of a video game based on the sleeper big screen hit Juno, the news did leave me a bit dumbfounded. At the D.I.C.E Summit, in Las Vegas "intellectual-property migration specialist" (real title, no lie) Keith Boesky said that "people are making a game based on Juno just to cater to the (casual) market."

Although absolutely zero information has been released since then, it does leave one wondering what the heck the game will be about. The pains of childbirth? Any guesses?
