Oct 15, 2008 - I knew Barack Obama was tech-savvy, but I didn't know it extended to gaming! Obama's campaign has purchased ad space inside 18 video games, including Madden '09 and Grand Theft Auto. Jun 27, 2008 - It seems that this little video game out in the world known as Grand Theft Auto tends to get people riled up — just check the comments on this post and that post, and it turns out that the game also riles people up in the real world, and has turned into an inspiration of sorts. Just ask the group of teen boys who went on an all-night crime spree of mugging and bashing cars with baseball bats and crowbars. May 09, 2008 - I love that nearly every night this week, Conan's done a different version of a PG-rated GTA IV, but I've also been thinking lately that not only are we at a high point of sex (Stripper Pole Wii, anyone?) and violence (got to give credit where credit's due, GTA, who's got both) in our video games, but there's also a healthy helping of family friendly and positive games — like Wii Sports. My friends got into a heated debate the other night about the significance of violence in video games, and what it says about our society, but I definitely feel like it's your choice to buy the games.
