Each week, I'm so wrapped up in The City, The Hills and Gossip Girl for my tech quizzes that I sometimes miss out on the Melrose Place and 90210 gadget action! Reader beautiful daisy asked me a question about this week's 90210 episode:

I was wondering, would you happen to know what kind of cell phone Adrianna was using on the last episode of 90210? It aired this past Tuesday. It was white and really thin. Very pretty and I was wondering if you would know? Thanks!

Adrianna was actually spotted with a T-Mobile G1 this week! (Thanks for the little insider info from my friends over at the CW!). This touchscreen Google Android platform phone gives you access to high-speed 3G networks and it comes with a 3-megapixel camera and WiFi functionality!

Snap Pics Like Kanye With a Panasonic Lumix LX3

Mariah Rockin' a Nokia N97 in Her New Music Video

After checking out some photos of Mariah Carey on the set of her new music video for "Obsession" (I promise that's her), I thought, wait a minute. . . is that an iPhone 3GS she's holding onto? As I zoomed way waaay in, I realized it was a Nokia - an N97 to be exact. Closely resembling the 5800 XpressMusic smartphone, this handset (which still has yet to reach US stores) offers a QWERTY keyboard, an impressive 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and an FM transmitter. Unfortunately it's only getting ho hum reviews so far, so it'll be interesting to see what its reception is once it's released here.

Found! Katherine From Desperate Housewives' Earpiece

I don't know what it is about Katherine from Desperate Housewives, but she seems to be one of the leading gadget girls on the show. We've already unveiled her cell phone - a nice fire engine red Centro, and now I've figured out what kind of Bluetooth earpiece she uses as well. However you feel about Bluetooth earpieces, sometimes you need one. . . to re-create the famous scene from Cyrano de Bergerac (younger generations recognize it as Roxanne), like Serena did in this week's episode of Gossip Girl.

Fun plot twist aside, of course, I noticed that Serena was wearing a recognizable - and super chic - Jawbone Bluetooth Headset in Ramblin' Rose, to get her feed of dialogue from Vanessa. The champagne pink color is girlie, stylish, and will disappear into your hair, if you need it to.

Penelope's Blue Cell Phone on Gossip Girl: It's Electric

On Gossip Girl, no character is too small - especially when it only takes but one camera phone pic to bring down entire friendships, romances, and social constructs. This week's episode featured the devious Penelope, formerly one of Blair's minions, but a rabble-rouser in her own right of late.

But her evilness isn't what I focused on - it was that electric blue cell phone she whipped out to peep Gossip Girl's post about Vanessa and Nate making out. It's an LG Chocolate 3 (the same one that Dan has, in black); they call it light blue, I call it electric; either way, it's a pretty snazzy phone if you're not into smartphones yet.

A music player, video capture, and 2.0-megapixel camera (perfect for snapping incriminating candids), all for $80 after rebates. Not that Penelope needs the deal. Sidenote: Do you think she would have the same phone if Verizon weren't sponsoring Gossip Girl?

Upper East Side Upgrade: Serena Got Another New Cell Phone!

I recently highlighted Serena's brand-new cell phone for this season, the black LG Venus. But it looks like you just gotta give this girl a couple of episodes, and she's down at the Verizon store, upgrading that thing. Maybe she was taking a cue from Blair, who carries a maroon LG eNV2, and likes adding color to her wardrobe - the new cell is cherry red.

That's not all that's saucy about it; it's the Samsung FlipShot ($170 after discounts), which boasts a 3-megapixel camera (the iPhone's is 2-megapixels) - my fave feature. You can also record video and give black and white effects to your cameraphone photos with the FlipShot - maybe she's trying to be more arty like her new beau?

On that note, do you think Serena upgraded or downgraded (I meant about the phones, but opinions about the old vs. new boyfriend are certainly welcome too)?!

She's Your Venus: Serena's New Cell Phone on Gossip Girl

The time has come; you know what cell phone Blair has, what Jenny is toting, and where the boys are, so now it's time to focus on Gossip Girl's golden goddess, Serena van der Woodsen.

Serena is a slave to the black sliders; this season she's got the sexily-named LG Venus (trivia tidbit: It's the same phone her nemesis Georgina rocked last season in pink).

I can see why the Venus would appeal to the blonde beauty - it's got all the smartphone-y basics: Music player, touch screen, 2.0-megapixel camera, and of course, it slides, which seems to be of paramount importance to S. How much for this sliding sensation? $150 after discounts.

Geek Goods: How I Met Your Mother's Robot Cookie Jar!

On this week's How I Met Your Mother, Ted got ready to move out and had to evaluate all the stuff that the girls told him Stella would find dumb (seriously, she's not the mother, right? Right?!). One thing no one cool could find dumb was the first thing he pulled out - the robot cookie jar!

Dubbed "R2 Sweet Tooth," Ted looked lovingly at his robot cookie jar, as he should, and the next thing I thought was: WANT. If you want one, too, I've found a bunch of rad vintage ones (the only way to go), like this similar one. Check 'em out!
