I love to travel, which means I'm always on the lookout for any new, interesting and helpful travel tips. So when I caught this amazing tip in this month's issue of Budget Travel, I was all over it.
There's plenty of ways that Google can be used for travel planning, and now there's another way Google can help you while you're on the go: use Google Sites to store all your travel documents, like scans of passports and ID's, itineraries, and conformation numbers for easy access anywhere in the world.

I know you know what I'm talking about. Everyone has one, that Facebook friend who will not stop with the constant stream of Facebook status updates. Maybe you accepted a friend request from a girl you knew in high school to be nice, only to be bombarded about her child's every giggle, coo, and poop.

This weekend I wanted to copy some movies that I had ripped with Handbrake to my Apple TV, and to do so, I had to copy the movies to iTunes first from my external hard drive.
No big deal, except that usually when you copy things to iTunes, the files also automatically save to your internal hard drive — a huge pain if you have limited drive space there.
Luckily, I discovered a very simple tip to avoid an unnecessary new file being created and stored.

I often find myself drawn to the light trail photos on Flickr. The ones created by moving cars, as well as the ones that people create themselves with flashlights and sparklers. I've done just about enough admiring, and am ready to test out the method myself.

As a devoted Google Reader user, I relish any tips I can use to make it even more useful — so imagine my delight the other day when I let my laptop slip (I told you I was a klutz) and grabbed for it, panicked — and accidentally had hit a key combo that brought up a key of Google Reader keyboard shortcuts.
Don't worry, I replicated it — it's shift + ? — and you can also open it as a separate page.

Traveling is fun and all, but I get full-on separation anxiety when I leave my TiVo. I love that little guy, and I totally get guilty feelings of entertainment debt.
Luckily, there's iTiVo, a download for Macs that connects to your specific TiVo and then downloads your shows into iTunes so you can put your recorded programs onto your iPhone or iPod.

Since I like to plan ahead, I knew that I needed to fully juice my laptop battery the night before WWDC in order to be maxed out for the two-hour live-blogging event the next day. But unfortunately, unlike the new Macbooks that were announced at the Apple keynote, mine does not last for seven hours. I'm lucky to get two and a half!

You've been working for the weekend all week and it's finally here, but try as you might, you can't totally detach from your computer. Instead of wasting your time on silly websites (that's what the nine to five is for, right?!) scope out sites that will help you plan an active and exciting weekend. From meet-up guides, sites designed to keep you offline, to mashups that will help you find cheap eats, there's no dull Saturday or Sunday that can't be turned into a wave of fun so long as you know the right place to surf.
