"So you're not a computer geek," Jim told Pam on this week's episode of The Office. It was kind of sad to hear, knowing Jim is geeky himself, but I know they can get through this.
It also made me grateful that I myself am in a mutual geek relationship — we drool over new tech announcements together and scheme about what our next home tech purchase together will be.

Another one bites the dust: Bachelorette Deanna Pappas and her fiancé Jesse Csincsak added to the long, long list of couples who broke up after The Bachelor and The Bachelorette (note to future contestants: It's not going to work out. I have a feeling.)
Here's the awkward tech part: They still have a website devoted to them as a couple, deannaandjesse.com. They're not the first couple to start a blog or website about their life together, and they're definitely not the first to break up.

Yes, after the new MacBook Pros, new MacBook Airs, and new MacBooks were announced at the Apple Event in Cupertino yesterday, who else, but none other than Laurene Powell Jobs, decided to sit down on a bench right next to me. As she chatted away on her sleek white iPhone, I instantly knew it was her — especially after our "Geek Love: Tech Giants and Their Ladies" story which featured her and her hubby looking oh-so-adorable. Within a few minutes, Steve decided to join his blond beauty for some one-on-one time, which I'm guessing turned into a lunch date or a ride home together.

It doesn't matter whether you would date Steve Wozniak or not; he's off the market, ladies! The Apple co-founder got married over the weekend to his fiancée — who is not, I repeat, not Kathy Griffin. That makes me pretty sad, because I loved them together on her show, My Life on the D-List.

Last week I asked if you like young Bill or young Steve more (71 percent of you are like me and think Steve is the bigger catch), and it got me thinking about tech giants and the love in their lives.
We all know about Bill and his wife Melinda Gates because of their Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, but who do the other big men in tech snuggle up to at night? Check out my slideshow to find out!

And I thought money was the number one reason couples fought! A California couple is divorcing after the husband developed an all-encompassing addiction to World of Warcraft. Jocelyn and Peter had been married for six years when she bought him the multiplayer game and he became quickly obsessed with it.

Who says technology isn't romantic? I never would, and looking for fun Valentine's Day gadgets and tech stuff these past couple of weeks has just reinforced this for me. I love tech and I love love — and when they mix, even better!

PlayerBlock claims to be the "first ever text based service that allows people to look into the dating habits of others." The idea is you post a review of your date online or via your cell phone so that the next guy or gal has a heads up and won't get played. While I'm not convinced the service is necessary, it's certainly a technological step up from iDating parties, where you pick your date based on the pics on their iPhone.

I can't deny I'm pretty much obsessed with geek love. First there was iDating, a dating effort for people with iPhones, next there was a man who proposed marriage via a widget, and now, there's the first couple to have been married in the virtual world and the real world. That's right folks, players of the online game EverQuest II shared their love for gaming and each other at a live and in-game wedding ceremony hosted by Sony Online Entertainment.
