Whether you are looking to improve your strategic skills or indulge in a little nostalgia, we've listed four ways to digitally sink some battleships via iPhone apps, the Android Market, Facebook, and more. And for the serious players, check out this man's algorithm for the perfect Battleship game.

iPhone - Play the classic Battleship ($1) game on your for iPhone, or opt to play the Super Weapons mode to earn higher player rankings and to unlock new weapons. The app also has WiFi, Bluetooth, and Pass & Play capabilities, so you can play Battleship with another player. In honor of the film, you can also play the game with its new cinematic twist Battleship Alien Invaders (free). All the classic features, but now with play options as the human navy or the alien forces.
Facebook - The Facebook game Navy Battles: The Pacific Campaign is actually wildly addictive. Play is on a standard grid and includes bonus attack strategies like air attack, missile strikes, and guided torpedoes to help target the enemy's fleet.

Teach Your Mom Tech: DVR Recordings

Gushing about the latest episode of Mad Men or Game of Thrones can liven up any Sunday phone call with Mom. Should she miss an episode, get ready for the sad tale of how you still haven't shown her how to record her must-watch shows.

This Mother's Day, put the excuses aside and devote the day to helping Mom set up and organize her TiVo or other DVR system. Moms like to stay in-the-know, so throw in a little bonus by including a few buzzworthy shows to her scheduled recordings, like Girls and Smash.

Here are a few DVR tips to cover with Mom:

Go through the remote functions: Click each remote button and talk through their functions, especially those that control and manage recordings.
Find and record programs: Using both the main channel guide and the menu search page, show Mom the various ways you can look for and record programs. Watch her create a few recordings, then help her decide on the detailed settings like recording only new episodes and manually deleting shows.
Manage the recordings: Help Mom find the page that lists her recordings, and explain how to play, pause, and fast-forward the recording.
Explain On Demand: On Demand now features more and more TV shows, helping free up DVR space. Usually the episodes appear in the On Demand section the night after they air. Show Mom how to scroll through On Demand, and look for TV shows she would typically record and help her decide which ones she would rather watch via On Demand than record.
Write everything down: Leave behind clear instructions that she can review to minimize frustrating phone calls when she can't get the TV to work.

As the reporter of ESPN's College GameDay for football and basketball Jenn Brown travels almost 70 percent of the year. That might sound like a dream job, but when your dream wedding is coming up, all those late night drive-thru dinners and wonky work hours can take a toll on your shape! We caught up with Brown just days before her wedding, where she gave us her secrets to how she stayed slim on the road and prepped for her big day.

What have you been doing differently to get ready for your wedding?

I took a different approach to working out than I usually do. I am typically a cardio junkie; I’m always running on the treadmill and follow it with 45 minutes of lifting. For my wedding, I really wanted to focus on looking lean and toned. I had just come off of covering football, where I gained my usual footfall five [pounds] from eating on the road in all these towns with delicious food, so I had three months to get into shape. I started doing Pilates three to four times a week. It was weird to me that you could go and work out for an hour and not be dripping in sweat, but I’ve seen an amazing transformation because of it.
