Somewhere along the line, the designers in the USB memory stick arena decided that plain, colored sticks were out, and food-shaped thumb drives were in. This Cabbage USB Stick is the latest savory turned into a memory stick, completing a meal, perhaps, if you know, you like eating inedible peripherals that look exactly like food. Check out my widget below for all the fixings you need for a USB salad!

Admittedly, I have a ton of USB sticks and funky flash drives hanging around my desk, but I have never seen one made out of paper. Until I found one while surfing online, that is.
But the Boardy USB Stick isn't your usual run-of-the-mill flash drive — it's made out of recycled paper and electronic parts to make an eco-friendly product you can use in any format.

I've been seeing a bug trend lately in accessories, so it's kind of rad that this Jeweled Bug Flash Drive Necklace capitalizes on the trend, while doubling as a handy flash drive.
The 2GB $19 necklace is the latest in a surprisingly long line of USB necklaces, like the Crystal Rose USB Necklace and the I Heart U USB Necklace, which are also jeweled. They didn't have to be jeweled for me to notice them, but it doesn't hurt.

Luxury flash drives don't have to be all pink, bedazzled Juicy Couture madness; take for instance, this Porcelain Flash Drive.
Its $125 determines its luxury status; the handcrafted process and glazed porcelain stops me from calling it crazy. Unquestionably, it's too expensive for the one GB it provides, but like I said, it just has to be viewed in a different category of flash drives — this isn't just a utility, it's an indication that tech products, be they as prosaic as a memory stick, are worthy of good design.

I'm dying to know the applied uses of a Waterproof Flash Drive. Not to imply that these aren't useful — for those who needed them, they'd be just that. I'm just ultra-curious about the kind of tasks these memory sticks would be used for.

You can't misplace your USB stick if you're wearing it. This isn't the first bracelet with a built-in flash drive that I've seen, only the last one was made of rubber and would not exactly go with everything in your closet. This Jeweled USB Bracelet from Brando is light years flashier, with a bracelet in gold or silver, flanked by what I assume are rhinestones (being that it's just $33).

Years ago, we used to fill albums with photos and pile them high on shelves. Nowadays, we fill up USB memory sticks and keep them scattered around our workspace! TeamSugar user Calamari has just brought this USB Memory Box from dialog05 to my attention, and it's totally tech chic!

Elaborate flash drives are a dime a dozen, but they are usually inspired by commercial trends like Pirates of the Caribbean, yummy shapes like sushi or blinging jewels like Swarovski rhinestones. The Swirly Metal USB is none of the above, but does have that certain geek chic artistic quality all its predecessor flash drives lack, while sharing all their functional data-storing qualities.
The drive was made by Etsey's daveboyer and is a simple USB drive with metal encircling it.
