I can't say I'm very creative when it comes to the sound my alarm clock makes (now my cell phone, that's a different story), so the idea of being able to upload some of my favorite songs to help me wake up on the right side of the bed is something I could get used to.
This MP3 Alarm Clock ($60) lets you easily upload around 32 songs via its built in USB port. What I like about it is that it's not only nice to look at if it does have a permanent spot beside your bed, but it's also nice and tiny so you can easily take it with you while traveling — alarm clock and mini stereo system in one!

It might be time for me to trade my nightcap in for a lightcap and by that I mean it's time for me to stop getting inspired by PartySugar's happy hour recipes and start drinking more water geek chic style.
For those of you that love camping, hiking or just staying hydrated, the LightCap, $24.99, combines a water bottle with a LED light - adding a practical and geeky element you don't find with most water bottles.
Its lid contains a sealed unit housing a solar panel, Ni-Cad battery pack and powerful LED light.

I was in the seasonal aisle of Walgreens this weekend grumbling about the fact that I've just finished my Valentine's Day candies and the rest of the world has already settled in to Cadbury eggs, when I realized that there is a whole basket full (I couldn't help myself!) of geeky spring gadgets that are way cuter and less fattening than any Easter candy. If you are in the market for bunnies, chicks, eggs and chocolates consider asking the Easter bunny for one of these treats instead of something sugary-sweet.
Nabaztag Tag
The Nabaztag is one of my all time favorite geeky items and if you are going to buy one, spring is certainly the season.

I usually hate on silly 'i" things for the simple reason that there are too many of them. When it comes to the iFish, iDog and iCat, my feelings are all friendly and fun. The small little critters are interactive speaker toys that hook up to your iPod or MP3 player.

Looking for something to charm that cute barista into giving you a free scone with your coffee, or for the naughtier crowd maybe cast a hair loss spell on your enemy? The Firebox Voodoo Charms are hand crafted from one continuous length of string. You can pop them in your pocket, put them on your keyring, attach them to your cell phone or simply keep them on your desk.

While the holidays seem close at hand to the retail industry, they are still far enough away that most of us don't want to even think about gift buying or giving.
While I'm not ready to start stuffing any stockings, I don't want to let the bevy of new "it" products from stores like Firebox and Thinkgeek go out of stock before I get my mittens on them, so I'm stocking up.
My favorite gift right now is the Zip Code Puzzle from Firebox.

I define desk accessories as things you don't really need, but you want. From novelty speakers, USB-powered beverage heaters and coolers and lamps that charge gadgets to goofy Kung Fu tape dispensers - there seems to be no end to the genre.
I don't need the iCat speaker from Firebox, but that doesn't stop me from drooling over it.

I get to check out a small army of laptop bags and sleeves, but that doesn't mean I've ever found the right one. Yesterday I reviewed an adorable Lexie Barnes Laptop Case, with a bright and youthful print, but I'm in the market for a more subtle and fashionable case I can use for work.
I like the look of the simple Nylon Laptop bag from J.Crew, but I'd prefer to find something that's leather or a tad more professional looking.

As you probably already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, which is the time of year companies typically release limited edition pink devices as a way of showing support and giving back to breast cancer research.
I've shared the special edition pink shuffle from Target as well as the pink Sony Vaio (seen at right) with you, but I figure there are plenty of other limited edition gadgets and gizmos out there that I haven't seen yet.
I'd like to put together a list of the best Breast Cancer Awareness gadgets on the web and I need your help.
