3 Ways to Use Facebook's New Camera App

The truth is about 96.5 percent of our Facebook experience is spent scrolling through pictures of last weekend's camping trip and Friday's happy hour. Now you can ditch the status updates and cut straight to the photos with the new Facebook iOS Camera app. Introduced today, it's billed as the photo-sharing hub for Facebook users. Separate from the standard iPhone app, we've broken down how to use Camera below.

Browse albums - Get to the goods fast. Once the Camera app is launched, you can browse through friends' photos with a swipe and get a better view with a double-tap of an image.
Edit photos - Crop, edit, and filter photos within the app rather than uploading to a separate editing app, saving to the camera roll, and then uploading to Facebook. We know that tired drill.
Upload multiple images - The time has come to stop spamming your feed with individual mobile uploads at a time. Select two, three, or go crazy with 14 images uploaded at one time.

Does all this sound familiar? With Facebook's Instagram acquisition we've been waiting to see how the social sharing companies join forces - but that moment is still yet to arrive. Facebook says the filters and functions of Camera were built in-house, not using the Instagram resources. So yes, Camera is just one more handy photography app to add to your collection.

The Social Network makes the case that computer nerd Mark created Facebook to help him get chicks. But if all women knew that dating a technology lover comes with so many perks, they wouldn't need to be convinced. And in reality, Mark and Priscilla have been together since before he released "The Facebook." Here are five reasons to seek out a geeky guy.

They're genuine: There's a good chance a geek has spent more time playing video games than practicing his game. And if he's used to being the dating underdog, he'll likely appreciate having you in his life.
They set up your electronics: Can't get your WiFi to work? Dream of an awesome entertainment setup but frightened by cords? Find a guy that looks at setting up electronics as a form of entertainment itself.
They fix your computers: Your time spent waiting in line at the Genius Bar or on the phone with technical support will drop drastically. And if they can't fix it, they know someone who can.
They expand your knowledge: If you think of the Internet as a series of tubes, spending time with a computer nerd can make technology seem like less of a mystery. And if they have a thing for nonfiction books, they'll probably share what they've learned.
They can find anything on the Internet: Geeks can call on their superior online research skills when you're planning a vacation or looking for a new restaurant for date night. How romantic!

It's the first day of Facebook trading on the stock market, and the company is valued to be over $100 billion dollars. In the spirit of all things Facebook, here are a couple of interesting facts that you may not have known about your favorite social media network:

The company that's been valued at over $100 billion dollars was started from Mark Zuckerberg's dorm room in Harvard. Yep, that part of the movie is true.
The original Facebook logo up until 2007 used to have a cloudy image of a man. The book The Facebook Effect has revealed the "man" to be a photo of Al Pacino that Zuckerberg's classmate Andrew McCollum edited and manipulated.
Facebook has 901 million monthly active users, with 526 million who use Facebook at least once a day as of March, according to Facebook's fact page.
Countries that block Facebook include China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Syria, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
Eminem has the most popular celebrity page on Facebook with over 57 million likes, beating Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
In 2011, Zuckerberg became a vegetarian, according to his Facebook timeline history.
There were only two women among Facebook's first 20 employees.
