My top picks for this month can either be given as gifts, be added to early Christmas wishlists, or make the perfect splurge purchase! And did I mention that they are all fresh for Summer? So what are you waiting for? Time to assess the gadget goods!

The New Iomega eGo Portable Hard Drive

Looks may be deceiving, but don't be fooled: I promise this is a sexier and sleeker version of the eGo drive I reviewed last year.

This much lighter, third generation, 320GB drive offers built-in antivirus software and an impressive rugged aluminum exterior that can withstand a 1.3 meter drop, which you know as well as I do is very important when you're lugging around a device that holds your important data.

Online, this puppy will cost you around $95, which is pretty affordable, considering I've heard of similar devices going for upwards of $150.

After a few months of use, I had some issues with my first eGo drive, so I was pleased to hear Iomega is offering a three-year warranty on the third gen drives. What really irks me, though, is that these drives are primarily built for PCs, not Macs. The included USB cord comes with a cord to plug into your drive and two attached USB cords to plug into your laptop. On many Macs, there are two USB ports (on opposite sides of the laptop), so plugging in both cords is practically impossible. Although your drive may be able to run with only one USB cord plugged in, it isn't sufficient power to experience the high-speed data transfer rates. And sadly, a powered USB bus isn't included, even though there is an auxiliary power port for it. So if you really want to use it on your Mac, you'd have to invest in one.

This is the midnight blue version, but it is also available in red, silver, and black. With the noteworthy upgrades from the last eGo, I think this eGo is worthy of four stars.

You Asked: How Can I Compliment My Boyfriend?

Dear Sugar,

My boyfriend loves to tell me how sexy, hot, or gorgeous he thinks I am. I love that he loves how I look, but I find it hard to return the compliments. I find him sexy and am very attracted to him (and tell him so), but I would never describe him as "hot." I don't know how to compliment him the way he does me without feeling like I'm lying through my teeth. Do you have any advice? - Shy Sheila

read more. Dear Shy Sheila, Complimenting your boyfriend doesn't have to be done in the same manner that he compliments you. As you stated above, it feels good to hear that your significant other finds you attractive, so while you might not think he's the most beautiful man you've ever seen, why not compliment the features or characteristics you do find attractive? Perhaps it's the way he touches you, or the way he looks at you; you could even let him know how amazing it makes you feel when he does x, y, or z or how sexy you find him when he's fresh out of the shower. At the end of the day, we all like our egos to be stoked from time to time, so remember, extending an accolade doesn't always have to be about appearance. I hope I was of some help! Source

The Couple Who Inspired The Vow

Kim and Krickitt Carpenter sold the movie rights to their unforgettable love story back in 1996. But it took until this week for that film, The Vow, to come out. The Carpenters married in September 1993, and less than 10 weeks later, a car accident left them both injured and Krickitt in a coma. Once she woke up, she had no memory of her husband.

Besides the coma and memory loss, The Vow doesn't quite follow the story of Kim (played by Channing Tatum) and Krickitt (played by Rachel McAdams) to the exact details. The real-life couple had met serendipitously over the phone when Kim, a baseball coach living in New Mexico, had called the sport shop Krickitt was working at in Southern California. Hitting it off, they talked for hours on the phone each week, and soon Kim invited Krickitt to visit him in New Mexico. After a whirlwind romance they got married.

The accident soon ended their newlywed bliss, and the couple described life after Krickitt's amnesia in a 1996 People article. "I honestly didn't think our marriage would work," Kim admitted thinking when his wife seemed to be a completely different person, but he said he "made a vow before God" to stick it out. She remembered asking, "'How did I do the wife thing? Did I cook for you? Did I bring you lunch?'" And she told herself, "I figured, if I fell in love with this guy before, I guess I just need to meet him again."

The accident happened in 1993, and on Valentine's Day 1996, Kim proposed again to his wife Krickitt and she accepted. In 2000, they wrote a book about their experience, The Vow: The Kim and Krickitt Carpenter Story. Although she never regained memory of the 18 months she had forgotten after her coma, they stayed together and have two kids, whom they brought to this week's premiere of The Vow. And whether it's a powerful dramatic performance or a lighthearted wig-and-makeup gag, cross-dressing has made for memorable movie experiences in the past. Who can forget Robin Williams's Scottish-sounding alter ego in Mrs. Doubtfire? And 1982's Tootsie, starring Dustin Hoffman, garnered 10 Academy Award nominations. Have You Ever Injured Yourself From Yoga?

Yoga is generally seen as a therapeutic practice that can alleviate pain from previous injuries and help prevent new ones. But a recent article from The New York Times Magazine highlights the practice as something quite different - yoga can wreck your body. The stories are scary and cautionary: healthy, advanced yogis having strokes, breaking ribs, and experiencing permanent disabilities because of hyperextended joints, prolonged inversions, and too-deep spinal twists.

The problem isn't just that inexperienced people are incorrectly doing the poses, but also that certain poses are risky, especially when they are done for many years at increased flexibility, without regard to your body's limits. Timothy McCall, the medical editor of the Yoga Journal, even calls the basic headstand pose too dangerous to be taught in most yoga classes, and yogi Glenn Black, who had to have spinal surgery to correct injuries he says he got from 40 years of practice, says that "the vast majority of people" (including many yoga teachers) shouldn't be practicing yoga at all because their bodies can't take it.

The article is a good reminder to check your ego at the studio door and don't push yourself over what your body can handle (and never compete with the room!). "If you do [yoga] with ego or obsession, you'll end up causing problems," Black says. I've found that most teachers make sure to tell their students this. When I took a beginner yoga series at my neighborhood studio, my instructor asked all of us newbies before we started if we had any preexisting injuries and cautioned that some poses would have to be modified to ensure that no one would make their injuries worse, and most importantly, to stop immediately if we experienced any pain or discomfort.
