Upcoming Nintendo DS Game: Dr. Phil In Your Pocket?

Those of us who suffered pangs of jealously when we heard young people in Japan are using their Nintendo DS Lite's as personal trainers, drinking guides and therapists/life coaches might finally be able to rest easy.

Nintendo has announced they hope to expand the gaming market to non-gamers while video game publisher Ubisoft has announced their intention to release a series of games they're calling "Games for Everyone." What are these games you wonder? The main game comes from the "Petz" series, where you care for virtual pets. Also on the list is a game called "My Coach," which according to Switched is heavily influenced by the Nicole Kidman-backed Brain Training series. That series will include a game called "My Life Coach," which is described as "your own personal Dr. Phil." Details are still vague but it sounds a lot like the life coach games being released in Japan.

It's already been four months since the queen of daytime television signed up to get her very own Twitter account, and now that she is quite the expert, Oprah Winfrey is sharing her Twitter habits with guests. When Dr. Phil stopped by the show last week, they both admitted to updating their profiles after they've already been somewhere - which is understandable considering the following of people they would have if they were live tweeting their whereabouts! Do you ever "fudge the truth" when tweeting?

Netflix Partners Up With NBC to Offer Shows Online

Tensions certainly grew in my house this week when we realized that someone forgot to set the DVR to record Heroes. Thankfully, I had a Dr. Phil lightbulb moment and remembered that my laptop is connected to a Slingbox, so we ended up watching it online-crisis diverted! If you happen to be a Netflix subscriber, NBC has announced a deal with Netflix to offer more TV content on Netflix.com. This deal will allow subscribers to view past episodes of other NBC series including Heroes, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights and The Office.
