Looking To Become A Celebrity DJ?

These days celebrity DJs like Lindsay Lohan and DJ AM (shown below at Pure Nightclub) just carry their shiny PowerBooks and MacBook Pros with them whenever they go out in case they get a chance to show their skills. HP's Envy 15 Beats LE Comes Bundled With Dre's Headphones

I'm already in love with the sound quality of Dr. Dre's Beats headphones I tested out last year, so getting a free pair with an HP computer bundle would be pretty sweet. I know there is an "art" to being a DJ and all, but how many times have you walked into a club and watched the DJ actually scratch on some vinyl? Most of the time, they pick and choose songs from their MacBook playlists, hit a few buttons, and move the cross-faders from side to side. Am I right? Am I right? WonderCon 2008: Connor Chronicles Convos

If you haven't been tuning into Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles lately, you've been missing out on some sweet geeky hotness (i.e.: Brian Austin Green and Thomas Dekker). . .and that's about it. The show itself is pretty comical (not in a good way), but definitely action packed - if you like sweaty men running around with guns that are being hunted by cybernetic organisms from the future. And who doesn't, right? Right. Despite the backlash of viewers accusing the show of having continuity and character issues, it's still doing pretty well for itself since crushing the competition its opening week.

Although I'm not a big fan of the show, I am a fan of Summer Glau. And on day three of WonderCon, I was not alone. Many of my Firefly and Serenity comrades were in the crowd as well to support our "River Tam." Even though I give the show a stinker "thumbs down," the cast was hilarious and totally entertaining during the panel. I know what I'm gonna do - I'm gonna bring Kyle Reese back" and he said, "You're gonna get Fu**ing killed!" I had this whole thing worked out and he was looking at me like I was crazy. And John on hiring Brian to play Derek: "Well Brian came in to audition and just knocked it out of the park. So I sat there and thought, "Sh*t! I'm gonna hire Brian Austin Green to play this part!"
Summer on reading the show's message boards: "I can't go on the boards. . . but I let my mom send me some of the good links and she'll say "See? People like you! And I'll click on that."
Josh's reply when asked if he's heard that there's going to be a T4: "There is!?"

I am so glad I discovered this fantastic new bar on Bornrich, considering I'll be heading to Vegas next week for CES! The Eyecandy Sound Lounge and Bar, located in the center of Mandalay Bay’s casino floor, is exactly that -100 percent eyecandy.

Opened in October 2007, Eyecandy features interactive touch tables that allow guests to create visuals and messages as well as project images onto screens above the dance floor. These tables also include stationary and motorized cameras to check out the action elsewhere in the lounge and bar area. And if you have a favorite song you want to hear, just plug your iPod into a sound station so the DJ can mix your tunes into the song line-up. This bar puts Twentyfour in London to shame, as Eyecandy's high-tech nightclub experience also boasts a fiber-optic channel running through the bar for a shimmering light effect as well as a LED tiled dance floor-allowing dancers to change images and graphics! Ableplanet Noise Canceling Headphones: Drown 'Em All Out

Saying I work in a noisy office is an understatement. In fact, it can get downright loud. When I'm trying to get my "geek on" and focus on my work, I often pop on my iPod and try to tune out the hustle and bustle around me. Until lately, I was using the regular Apple iPod Earphones because they are easy, light and always wrapped around my iPod. I may have been missing out. The Clear Harmony Noise Canceling Headphones from Ableplanet, $299, are an audio dream come true. Sure, they aren't as bling-bling or humongous as some of the other giant DJ headphones we've seen, but they do feature great noise canceling technology, in-line volume control for easy adjustment to safe listening levels and a removable cord.

They work with stereos, computers as well as CD, DVD and MP3 players, but sadly do not work with my new iPhone, which has a recessed headphone port and requires an adapter.

While I am more than comfortable using them in the office (they drown out excess noise like you wouldn't believe) I'd feel a little dorky traveling with them. If you are comfortable using big headphones in planes, trains and automobiles, they do come with a protective carrying case. Clearly, these are not budget headphones, but if you are looking to make an investment in noise canceling headphones these aren't a bad idea. After all, you'll probably use them everyday.

Special D-Wade Sidekick 3 Gets A Hip Hop Launch

Will.i.am, Ciara, Ludacris, Kelis and DJ AM showed up at the 2007 NBA All-Star week in Las Vegas to help launch the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, D-Wade Edition. The special edition was personally designed by basketball MVP Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat and has been generating a lot of heat (sorry, I had to) in the gadget world for its fun color and celebrity-endorsement.

Are You Going to Upgrade to Vista?

Bill Gates has shocked the entire industry by using some unusual vocabulary to describe his excitement for the Microsoft Vista Operating System, which comes out today. "This 'Wow' thing is a great way of describing what we've got here," Microsoft's chairman told The Associated Press on Monday as the software maker began a slate of splashy events in New York. "There are chances for wows all over the product."

Looks like Jimmy Kimmel, who hung out at the Windows Vista Lounge with Eva Longoria, Molly Sims and DJ AM last week, has already gotten a chance to take the system for a spin. Now available to the public, Vista retails for $100 to $400, depending on the version and whether the user is upgrading from Windows XP. As a mac user I'm not as thrilled as some for the new OS, but I am excited by the idea of running it on my mac and seeing what the fuss is all about. So, who is running out and buying Vista right away?
