Cougar Town's Jules Cobb, played by Courteney Cox, is plenty hip, but a tad behind the times. She seems to have a good handle on her BlackBerry, but if she is going to catch up on everything she missed out on while she was playing young mommy and keep up with the youngsters in her life she's going to need a tech makeover. A lot has happened since the '80s!

Last week PopSugar reported that Courteney Cox hit up Il Sole with her daughter, little Coco. I couldn't help but notice the usually chic Cox was sporting an awkward, "this was inspired by a 47-year-old business man" cell phone clip on her belt.
Sadly, Courteney isn't the only celebrity to commit this major geek faux paux.

I found myself gawking at Kate Hudson's cute hair on the set of Bride Wars and almost missed that she's wearing her BlackBerry tucked into her shorts.
We've established that most of you like David Beckham's belt clip style, but don't love it on female celebrities like Courteney Cox. The thing is, people usually clip out of necessity or habit — it appears Kate is filming a workout scene so it would be silly for her to tote a purse just for her cell.

When I think of Polaroid, I think of Polaroid cameras, which at this point have a vintage geek following, but the company is doing its darndest to promote their other products and has jumped on the celebrity beach house bandwagon.
The company has created a lavish $30 million dollar beachfront estate where celebrities and VIPs can enjoy tech toys, private dinner parties, exclusive events, BBQs, clambakes, and beachside activities.
Like the LG Beachhouse, the Polaroid Beach house is located on "the most exclusive stretch of beach in Malibu," and is completely decked out with with the company's TVs and gadgets.

I know I have made fun of David Beckham, Courteney Cox and Joel Madden for using dorky belt clips to hold their BlackBerries, but there are some acceptable ways to carry your cell phone on your person without looking like the geeky copy guy. While I'd prefer them to be slimmer, I can't find anything terribly offensive about these leather cell necklaces from Strapya World. They come in a variety of colors and would free up your hands and pockets of your cell, while keeping it near.

- Randi Jayne, who is responsible for the hilarious "Junk in a Box" parody "How To Get A Guy In Silicon Valley," sent over her latest and I think greatest creation to date. - Dontcha Wish Your Cell Phone Was Hot Like Me?

It was almost excusable when we caught Courteney Cox and Joel Madden rocking chunky cell phone holders, but when Molly caught the always fashionable David Beckham hanging with his boys and wearing his BlackBerry on his belt it was just, well, heinous.
I understand he probably doesn't want to cover up the beautiful assets he recently displayed in W Magazine, but even a man purse would look better than this belt clip.
Becks baby, you can't rock Victoria's shiny new Bentley and a $9 cell phone holder at the same time.

The release of a new device like the Apple iPhone means a whole new market of cases, protectors, sleeves and of course cell phone bling. Because of the iPhone's touch screen, the cases for the device have a unique challenge - protect the screen, but allow the user easy access to the device's functions. While there will inevitably be a small army of cases released in the near future, I have picked through the "first season" in an attempt to find the best case for my own iPhone.

I am not sure what Keira Knightley, Madonna, Courteney Cox and Britney are going to think of this video comedian (or, as most know him, Heather Locklear's boo) David Spade made poking fun of CrackBerry addicts, but I think it's pretty funny. He's not LOLing people.

Recently, celebrities like Courteney Cox and Joel Madden have been spotted donning super geeky cell phone clips on their hips. It's a trend that I think is a real shame because designers have begun creating chic options, such as the Rivet Cell Phone Holders. Is there an in between?
