Forget old, traditional clocks with those lame arms — the QlockTwo (around $1,200) timepiece is breaking all the rules over here. Set in a wooden box with a custom color glass face, this clock uses little lightup words to tell you the time in five-minute increments. Not only does it give you an update every five, but for all you traditionalists who need a more accurate quote, you can check the little (more familiar) clock in the bottom corner.

I thought I had found the solution to weather updates with Umbrella Today — a neat site that will text you when you need to take an umbrella with you that day. Guess again!
A new little invention called the Weather Man Forecaster Clock ($43) features weather forecast icons (sunny, cloudy, rainy) and a cute little weatherman guy that comes with 15 different outfits, so you know exactly what to expect when you walk outside.

Clocks are on my mind this week as my body and schedules continue to be out of whack because of Daylight Savings. I'm thinking of just chucking out all my clocks and getting new ones, because I am that freaked out.
First on the replacement list?

I'm pretty good with my snap judgments on things, but this I really don't know about. On the one hand, it's a creative way to display photos and read time, but it's a clock . .

The love for fonts goes deep here at geeksugar, whether it's for the freebies or the eager identification.
Now you can express it (albeit steeply) with the Font Clock ($450), which has twelve different classic fonts inside of it.
You get the retro design of a classic flip clock (also beloved here), with the satisfaction of identifying what design is used to tell you it's half past midnight.

Easter eggs are rad little treats for geeks; others may ask what the point is, but you know: They're just cool. This Easter egg is for TiVo users, and while the result is not mind-blowing, it's handy and practical, and you'll probably know about it before any of your friends, so here we go!

As hard as it is to get out of your warm and comfy bed in the mornings, you might as well wake up to a cool clock to start your day off right. Clocks can add some serious personality and design to a room, but the dreaded alarm can be a thorn in your side on those days when you just want to stay under the covers. If you hit the snooze five times every morning like me, you need some clock-to-human interaction to get you out of bed, rather than just pounding the heck out of the snooze on your old clock.

Here's a cute clock that both geeks and non-geeks can enjoy equally. The ENTER command clock, which I found on 7Gadgets, is guaranteed to add a touch of tech to your living or work space—something I could really use above my desk! Each clock costs only $15 and measures 10" H x 10" W.

If the online 'Seinfeldian Chain' method of marking days on your calendar is too laborious for you, you may want to consider the D-Day Count Down Clock.
Sure, its name sounds utterly depressing, but the clock's shape (it looks like a real movie set slate) provides a sense of glamor and productivity. The clock keeps track of all your life’s special moments, using the motto that "you are the star of your own life."

This may look like a retro clock where you have to hit the side bells to get it to stop ringing (this part is true), but what you don't see is its unique modern capabilities. This clock easily connects to your PC or laptop via a USB connection so you can transfer audio of your choice to it. That's right, you aren't stuck with that annoying and loud bring-bring alarm sound.
