A very long time ago someone started a nasty rumor that geeks live on soda, candy and junk food. While I steer clear of junk food, many of you already know we at the Sugar Network office have a serious collective sweettooth. So how do we stay awake when we blog into the wee hours?

My boyfriend's college roommate Eric was a soccer player who would get up at 3:30 in the morning to go to practice, go to class, return home in the afternoon and game. I'm talking all-nighter, XBox live sessions where he would wear a headset and face off against some unknown person halfway across the US. Needless to say, despite being a fit athlete, these gaming binges went hand in hand with candy and caffeinated soda consumption.

I've been patiently waiting to see The September Issue ever since Fab showed us the trailer back in June, and I finally got the chance to make it to the theater over the weekend.
The documentary follows Vogue's stoic editor Anna Wintour as she prepares for the biggest issue release of the year and chronicles the pressures that follow. Naturally, I was interested in seeing the fashion and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the magazine runs, but I was hoping for some tech sightings as well.

Oh, the video and FM tuner enabled iPods.

Nothing rhymes with orange, nothing really goes with orange, and most people don't even wear orange (unless you're a Fall or daring by nature), but it sure looks spectacular on gadgets! The vibrant cast isn't a traditional gizmo color, but it has been sneaking on to the consumer electronics scene in the past few years starting with cameras, iPods, and even a few laptops and minis. It is cheery, a wee bit retro and makes me think of pumpkins and candy.

Although my marriage with iTunes is still going strong, that doesn't mean a girl can't look at what else is out there, right? So when I want some cheap eye candy (in the form of movies or TV), I'll check out Amazon's On-Demand service.
A lot like iTunes, Amazon's On Demand brings you TV and movies when you want them, and you can even buy TV season passes and download the shows as they are released for $1.89 an episode.
