I thought I had seen the pièce de réstistance in Rubik's Cube products when I found that vintage Rubik's Cube Perpetual Calendar the other day, but now I don't know, because check this out: the Rubik's Cruet Salt and Pepper Shaker Set!
$20 for each shaker, the salt has a solid white block top, while the pepper has a red block top.
Unlike the calendar, you don't have to solve the cube to figure out how to get your seasonings out.

Sometimes, accessories that are updated to look like a Rubik's Cube can look a little cheesy, but this Rubik's Cube Perpetual Desk Calendar ($36) is anything but.
Perhaps it's the vintage looks and rendering in black and white rather than multicolor, but it looks cool, rather than kid-like.
Sure, you might waste a little time (the same time you are trying to tell) setting up the clock for each day, but if you like this calendar, you're probably not a Cube noob.

The first time we witnessed a Rubik's Cube Cake it featured three square facelets tilted on their axes, providing a complicated "Rubik's Cube in mid-solution mode" feeling. Today I offer you a less intricate, but larger and more colorful Rubik's Cube cake created as a birthday treat for a self described geek by his mother. I adore the textured icing and rich color choice and love the fact that instead of doing a freestyle icing job she used a real cube as a model.

Knowing that there are people out there that love Super Marios Bros., Nintendo and Star Wars enough to make geeky bride and groom cakes should have been all the warning I needed to ease me into this Rubik's Cube Cake, but somehow it just wasn't. The maker was a British fellow, James Kemp, who has always been a fan of the Rubik's cube. "I first got a cube as a 12 year old in England back in 1980 and have been hooked ever since," Kemp says.

We use the term geek around here fast and loose, as it's kind of become a catch-all phrase for passionate techies, gamers, and gadget lovers everywhere. It's not necessarily a synonym for nerd anymore — necessarily. Unless you were a geek who could put a Rubik's cube together!

The only thing better - and geekier- than a traditional Rubik's cube, is a Super Mario Bros Rubik's Cube! The Rubik's Cube is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik, and if for some reason you were under a rock for the entire 80's when you just had to have a cube, you may have missed this geeky gadget. It is said to be the world's best-selling toy, with some 250,000,000 Rubik's Cubes and imitations sold worldwide.

The retro Space Invaders have officially invaded everything — French Connection, your kitchen, and now they're in your drink, not just invading, but keeping it cool. How sweet of them!
The Space Invaders Ice Cube Trays ($8) look just like the pixelated aliens of video games past, and are ready to be cracked into a cool beverage at your next party.

I'm not exactly a gear-head, but I can appreciate nice cars. Especially those that are gas friendly and geeked out, which could describe the Nissan Cube to a T. Emphasis on the could.
