I'm smitten over the latest site trend: bookmarking and displaying collections of your favorite things in a beautiful, visually stimulating way. Pinterest is one such site, allowing users to create a category and post photos of clothing, products, books, or anything else to create a visually stimulating virtual inspiration board. You can browse pages by user or category. To make your own collage, upload photos directly onto the site, or use Pinterest's bookmarklet; just drag it onto your browser's toolbar and click it to "pin" any product to your board. There's also space to comment on each item. It's a simple idea but presented in such a stunning way - I'm in love!

File this one under "awesome tools to help you finish your term paper," especially if there is heavy research involved. The extension is called Zotero, and it's too bad I didn't have this back when I was in school, since it would have made my life so much easier!

Zotero works on your Firefox browser to help you organize and keep track of your links, notes, and photos that you need to finish up your research. But unlike other bookmarking extensions, Zotero allows you to take additional notes, tag, and organize your collection of mind blowing data right on the web page you're checking out. And although it's super handy to use while surfing the Internet for facts, you can also use Zotero offline if you're cruising through Word Docs or eBooks that you have stashed away on your hard drive.

Zotero follows you like other extensions wherever you are on the web, so you'll never be without it. By clicking the icon, you'll open the Zotero interface, which will house your notes, links, tags, and folders so you can keep yourself organized. Entering items is easy too, as you just click the second icon in your location bar, and the webpage contents are instantly added to your "collection" for you to edit, tag, and take notes. Delicious Gets a Redesign - Woohoo!

Oh Delicious, I almost (I said almost) forgot about you, and then you go and do something brilliant - you get a very much needed makeover! I was seriously considering walking away from all of my favorite bookmarks, or at least moving them to a much more user-friendly site, but alas, you pull though with a fresh new name (minus all the . and . 's), a slick new UI and a much faster search engine - nice work! And the best part about the new look? The big and beautiful notes fields that you can either change to reveal more bookmark info or compact their display with a single click on the Tag Bar!

You know me, I love to share tips, tricks, downloads, and news all day long, every day of the week, 24/7. I'm sharing right now as I type! You might even consider it an obsession.

So knowing that I could make it easier on myself when I want to submit links to my bookmarking or sharing sites like Digg, Reddit, and Twitter by using Shareaholic - an award winning Firefox add-on that works like a hub for all my social networking and bookmarking services. It sends out my favorite links in one shot without me having to copy or paste a thing.

Once you download Shareaholic, a green button appears on your browser, letting you customize which sites you want to send links to. When you come to a webpage you think is worthy, just click the green share button, select your service (i.e., StumbleUpon) and your link is copied and sent to the site for you, ready to submit. How easy is that?

I don't know how important your del.icio.us bookmarks are to you, but mine act as my personal yellow pages - basically a huge reference area for all my important web links.

Now I can get these great sites via my cell phone with a free service called Mobilicio.us. With Mobilicio.us I can browse through all of my bookmarks right from the convenience of my cell phone's browser.

Tell Us Your Casa Cravings

If you're anything like me, you spend a lot of time online browsing and buying on an endless array of home sites. Well, have no fear: TeamSugar makes it easy to bookmark and share all of the great furniture, home accessories, and gardening tools you find online.

With our new bookmarking tool called Casa Cravings, you can save your favorite home finds with just one click of a button. Your Cravings will then be displayed on your TeamSugar profile, so you and other users can easily find them again.

I'll be posting a Casa Craving challenge every Thursday, where I'll present a theme and ask you to find Cravings that fit that theme. If you have been with us for awhile and already know how to bookmark, you'll see the Casa Craving bookmark choice the next time you use your existing Save to TeamSugar bookmark. To start bookmarking, you'll just have to add a simple link to your browser's favorites or toolbar. However, unlike a normal link, you will not be able to click on it first (if you do, nothing will happen and it won't work). Here's the link: Save to Teamsugar, you'll need to add it one of these ways: Option 1: Right-click on the link above and select "Bookmark this link." Option 2: Drag the link onto your toolbar or favorites. I suggest Option 2, putting the link directly on your toolbar for easiest access.
When you come across a Casa Craving, simply click the Save to TeamSugar button in your bookmarks toolbar, select "Casa Craving" as the bookmark type, and add a keyword or two.
You can always click Bookmarks in the TeamSugar menu to see them all.

Once you've mastered that, you can also create a list of your bookmarks, which is a better way to put together related items if you're doing a Casa Craving challenge. TeamSugar has a great tutorial on listmaking if you're not sure how. So get out there and start craving!

Fit Find Faves: FOOD!!!!

Checking out all the things Sugar users have bookmarked as Fit Finds is pretty fun. These three food related bookmarks caught my eye.

nurdburd13 found a cool list of seven foods healthy people eat. Check them out and see if you are eating these super foods.

I am a Van's Waffle lover so thought it was great to see that Hmorris bookmarked some wheat free waffles and put them in the Sexy & Gluten Free group. If you have issues with gluten this could be a great group for you.

Looks like ina717 and I both share the love of flavored water. Peppermint water sounds so refreshing.
